Winner of the first major handicap at Deauville in January, came to Kempton where he was the runner-up to Rainbow Dreamer in the All-Weather Championships Fast-Track Qualifier. Ran a little below par last time out in Vichy in a Class 2 race.

Trainer says

He won two races last year in France and then in the beginning of this season he was the runner-up in Kempton. It was a very good performance because I think it was a good race. I wanted to run him at Lingfield, but that wasn’t possible because of the Coronavirus. He is a horse that runs very well on the all-weather or in good ground. He doesn’t like soft ground.

Had not won in a long time but then won over 7 ½ furlongs on the all-weather at Deauville. He finished fourth on his last start in a Class 2 race at Deauville where he was dropped back to 5 furlongs.

Trainer says

He ran well the last time out. However, I will now struggle to find a handicap for him. He is just in that weight range where he will either come up against listed winners or he will have to carry top weight. He could run in a big claiming race, I’m not sure what I am going to do with him. I have entered him in a claiming race at ParisLongchamp and he should win that.

A proper 5 furlong sprinter. A group 3 winner last year and Group 2 placed, is still looking to get off the mark this season.

Trainer says

He needs soft ground. His seasonal reappearance where he finished third in the Prix de Saint-Georges was good, but then next time out, he had to run in good ground and he just doesn’t let himself down on that. He is a Group horse, but we will have to wait for him.

In great form this season, he was the runner-up to Shaman in the Group 2 Prix d’Harcourt and then lifted the Group 2 Grand Prix de Chantilly at Deauville. He was only beaten a head by Sottsass in the Group 1 Prix Ganay on his last start.

Trainer says

I have changed his work routine this year and that has done him a lot of good. He is not an easy character in the morning, as he doesn’t really want to work. So, this year I have been taking him onto the racecourse to work and I think his last two runs showed that he is appreciating it. I won a Group race with him over 1m 6 f and then I stepped him up even further in trip, but he didn’t run well. So this year I have brought him back again in trip. I think his preferred trip is between 1 ½ m and 1m 4 ½ furlongs. It is true that he has run three times in one month, but he hasn’t run that much this year and he won’t run in July or August. He doesn’t like it when it’s too hot. So he will have a nice break. However, right now he is in the same form he was before the Prix Ganay and it’s all systems go.

Very consistent over the mile up to a mile and a quarter. Still a maiden, often the bridesmaid.

Trainer says

She really needs soft ground and so I won’t be running her at the moment. She is listed placed, but she hasn’t won yet. She really wants it very soft and I’m hoping she can win her race when she comes back later in the season.

Ran eleven times as a two-year-old. A winner of a claiming race, she has been Group 3 and Group 2 placed over five furlongs.

Trainer says

She is going to make her seasonal reappearance in the Prix Hampton, a listed race over five furlongs on 27 June at Chantilly. She ran in a Group 1 race at the end of last year and then went to stud. She has come back and now we need to find out if she is still the good filly she was last year, as she ran many times as a two-year-old. She is very strong, but this is her seasonal reappearance and I think she will improve from that.

Won his maiden on his fourth start at the end of the season last year. Has since won again when he was dropped back to five furlongs. Listed placed on his last start over 6 furlongs.

Trainer says

I really like this horse. He won his maiden well last year. He loves straight courses. His first time out this year was good and then he won at Vichy when we came out of lockdown. I stepped him up in class last time out in the Prix Marchand d’Or, a listed over six furlongs, where he finished third. I think he is a Group horse in the making, but he is a late developer. I would like to bring him to England as they have more five-furlong races than we do. He will be a nice horse to follow next year.

She is going to run in a handicap at Chantilly on the 27th. She ran well at Vichy where she won and then she finished fifth in a handicap at Dieppe where the jockey just went too fast. I think 5 ½ furlongs is too far for her. She really is a five-furlong horse. She is carrying a lot of weight at Chantilly, but she is a good filly.

I bought him out of a claimer and his owner said that he had been running all the time over the mile trip and even shorter, over 7 furlongs. He has a lot of character and since I have stepped him up in trip and since he runs in very soft ground, he does really well. I think he is capable of winning a listed. What he showed me at Dieppe was quite something, but I will wait for very soft ground before I run him again.

She was third on her debut and I might supplement her for the Prix du Bois. I think she can go places.

She produced a really good performance last time out. She is still very green, but I think she will win her maiden soon.

Trainer says

He is a very genuine horse. I ran him quite quickly again after his start in a listed and the jockey didn’t do him any favours and gave him a lot to do. For me, this horse is a really good horse, a champion.

She has a bit of a temperament. That is why she has already run twice in quick succession. She won a Class 2 race on her last start at Lyon by 9 lengths. At home, there are few that can go with her in the morning. There are lots of people who wanted to buy her for good money. I wanted to run her at Royal Ascot, but the owner wasn’t too keen. She is a good filly and she will now run in the Group 3 Prix du Bois at Longchamp on 2nd July.

The first time she was beaten by a good filly that went on to win a listed and last time out she just cantered to win easily. I think five furlongs is a bit too short for her, but the programme for two-year-olds is not that easy to navigate. She could also run in the Prix du Bois or there is another race over 7 furlongs two weeks later. It will depend a bit how many English horses will turn up, as they are always very fast.
