Tried to make all in a Listed and only lost his position in the final yards.

Trainer says

He is going to run in a group race at the end of the meeting, I think it’s the 28th of August. He came to my yard after they closed Frederic Rossi’s stable. He ran on the all-weather in Cagnes, which is not his game and then reached a new level that he had never experienced before in his career. He won two consecutive Quinté races, then finished fifth in a Group 3 and then third in a Listed at Vichy, where the track was too firm. He is a soft ground horse. I think when we get softer ground, he will win his Listed or even a Group 3 race.

Trainer says

He has a race at Clairefontaine and if he runs well, he will target the Grand Prix de Deauville. He had a brilliant winter at Cagnes-sur-Mer where he won four consecutive races on the all-weather and also on the turf. He then had a bit of a break and was stepped up to Listed company.

Handicap winner on the all-weather, he produced a good performance to finish second in a 1 ¼ m handicap at Vichy on the turf.

I bought him in a claiming race. Last time out he ran at Vichy where the ground was a bit cut up and he doesn’t like that. He is better on the all-weather and is well placed in the weights in a 9 ½ furlong handicap on the 6th of August.

The punters know him well as he often runs well in handicap company. His handicap mark now means he will be once more competitive, and he is a horse to follow over 9 ½ furlongs on the all-weather.

A winner of a 1 ½ m handicap in Salon Provence, he couldn’t repeat that performance off the same handicap mark at Vichy where he finished down the field.

He had a few health issues at the beginning of the year and then came back to win a race at Salon Provence. He is an older horse who is not the most courageous but off the current handicap mark, he could win another race. He will run on the 6th of August in a Class 2 handicap on the all-weather.

Tried to make all in the Grand Prix de Lyon, but couldn’t quicken effectively to finish fifth behind higher rated horses.

Trainer says

He had won the Grand Prix de Marseille and the Grand Prix de Cagnes. He is a very tough horse, who I bought in a claimer and who has worked his way up through the handicaps. He is going to run in the Prix Kergorlay. Unfortunately, he is really a horse that loves soft ground, so we will have to see how it goes at Deauville.

Has already enjoyed eleven starts this season and after a dry spell is slowly coming back to form, which he showed when he wasn’t beaten far in a mile handicap at Vichy.

Trainer says

He runs in the Prix Maison Quatrans at Deauville on Thursday. He is a horse that isn’t always willing and ideally, he needs soft ground, which he is not getting as we have had no rain for ages in France. However, he has dropped in the handicap mark and this race is not very competitive, so I’m hopeful but will admit that he is no champion.

He is a very difficult horse to train, as he has a lot of character. He is extremely talented and when he is in a good mood, he wins easily. He has won some great races and has been Listed placed but as I said, you never know what you get with him. He could run in the Grand Handicap Deauville or in another race on the all-weather a little later.

Winner of a handicap at Marseille, he finished third in a Class 1 handicap again at Marseille.

Trainer says

He is a good horse. He is going to run in a handicap over the straight mile at Deauville next. I bought him out of a claimer, and he won very easily at Marseille and then finished third in a good handicap at Compiegne. I gave him time off in July, as I believe that he can win a Quinté this summer at Deauville.

Winner of a 9 furlong race at Salon Provence, she couldn’t quicken as decisively when finishing fifth in a mile handicap.

Trainer says

She is a good filly. She will run in the Prix Hipodromo de Maronas on the 7th of August and I think it is the perfect race for her. It is over seven furlongs and for fillies only. She is the highest rated filly in that race and will have to carry a lot of weight, but I expect her to run well. She likes soft ground.

Trainer says

He got 2.5 kilos for that last win, but there is a race on the all-weather towards the middle of the meeting that should suit him. I gelded him and that did the trick. He is very courageous.

Runner-up on his second start in a maiden at Vichy

Trainer says

He was beaten at Vichy by a Wertheimer filly who they think is very good. He will now run in another maiden at Deauville. If we decide to not run him in Deauville, but in Vichy, he will win. He is a very good colt. He didn’t know what we wanted on his debut, but now he has understood and as I said, he ran well. He is physically a very impressive colt.

He won that race at Vichy very easily. There isn’t really a race for him at Deauville, so I think he will rather run at Marseille. He is a nice two-year-old though who could go a long way.

She has already run a few times and is quite professional. She is very tough and seeing that she has only won a claimer, she hasn’t been given a high handicap mark and so we thought we try her in the first handicap for two-year-olds at Deauville where she will be bottom weight.

Winner of a maiden in the provinces, they went early in Class 2 race at Vichy and he couldn’t follow through when they quickened.

Trainer says

He is also going to run in that first handicap for two-year-olds and while he is a better horse than Clemenza, he is also far more difficult. He needs to be held up a bit, as he can finish well, but as I said, he is not easy.

Trainer says

He will not run at Deauville, but will be in action at ParisLongchamp on the 8th of September. He is going to run in the Group 3 Prix de Chenes over the mile, which is a prep race for the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere. He is a really nice colt, who won very easily last time out, and I think there is more to come from him. He has a lot of stamina, but I don’t know about ground preferences, as he has only raced on firm ground so far.
