He’s on track for the Tattersalls Ireland Novice Hurdle at the Dublin Racing Festival. He doesn’t show much at home, but clearly saves it all for the track. I was impressed with his win at Leopardstown’s Christmas meeting and I’m looking forward to seeing what he can do up in grade.

We were thrilled with her comeback run at Leopardstown and she is on track for the Irish Champion Hurdle at the Dublin Racing Festival. She had been ready to run in a novice chase at Down Royal, but as was well publicised she pulled a muscle and must have missed nearly three weeks of work. Considering that, she was sure to improve on whatever she did at Leopardstown and she looks to have improved since then. Whether she’s good enough to beat Lossiemouth, I’m not saying that at all as Lossiemouth is very good, but she has improved and we are very happy with her.

He isn’t with us all that long, but he works very well and is likely to run in the Grade 2 bumper at the Dublin Racing Festival.

Trainer says

I don’t think we’ll run him at the Dublin Racing Festival. I’m not ruling it out entirely, but I’d say it’s more likely that he’ll go for a maiden hurdle the week after it. I always feel that a horse like that coming off the back of a fall, it would be a tough ask to send him straight into Grade 1 company. If he was slow over the first one or two, it’s all over. He’s absolutely flying, he did a serious bit of work the other day. Everyone saw what he was going to do at Leopardstown. The hope is that he’ll win the maiden hurdle and then go onto the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle.

I’d say he’ll run in the Irish Gold Cup. It’s a roll of the dice as he isn’t easy to place, but I’m happy to give it a go and see where we stand with him after that.

Trainer says

We’re going to send him back over hurdles for the Galmoy Hurdle at Gowran Park on Thursday and we’re going to put cheekpieces on him. He was working well at home prior to his return, but I told Jack not to be tough on him if it wasn’t happening and he ended up pulling him up. He came out of the race fine and we gave him a full MOT afterwards with no adverse findings. We’ll see what he shows in the Galmoy. He missed a lot of time, and he might not get back to be a Gold Cup horse. Maybe he could be a Grand National horse. Thursday will tell us more.

If the ground isn’t bottomless, I’d say he’ll most likely run in the Boyne Hurdle on his way to the Stayers’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. He came out of his run at Ascot well and he hit the line strong that day.

I also wouldn’t be surprised if we step him up in trip this season. We might just keep him fresh and go straight to the Cheltenham Festival, but we’ll see.

He’s going to go straight to the Stayers’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. If there was a staying hurdle for him at the Dublin Racing Festival, he’d probably run in it, but there isn’t! I thought his performance at Leopardstown last time was up there with his best. I think everyone gets on the bandwagon in saying he needs soft ground and a big break between his races, but I’m not so sure. He’s the horse of a lifetime, to be honest.

We have him in the Ladbrokes Novice Chase at the Dublin Racing Festival. He’s very highly-rated for a novice chaser at this stage of the season and obviously has an awful lot of experience for one too. When you look back at his last run at Down Royal, he finished just behind Affordale Fury which is a fair effort for a novice. He’s not big, but he’s a good horse.

She’s in great form. She’ll go straight to the Mares’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. She actually missed a week after her win at Leopardstown. She gave herself a little cut a couple of days before the race and she aggravated it in the race. She’s a been a real star for us and hopefully there’s even better to come.
