Last year, Henri-François Devin enjoyed his best season yet when Nonza gave him his first Group 1 winner after winning the Prix Jean Romanet at Deauville, writes Liz Price. He also won his first race in England last season when Hunaina won the Listed Snowdrop Fillies’ Stakes at Kempton Park in April.
This year, the young French trainer, with an Irish background, who took out his licence in 2013, is hoping for another good season with stable star Golden Legend, who was runner-up of the Group 1 E P Taylor Stakes at Woodbine at the end of last year. He also has some nice three-year-olds that carry famous silks, like those of Al Shaqab Racing, Baron Edouard de Rothschild and Gerard Augustin-Normand.
