She’s a lovely mare that won a point-to-point. She is showing plenty at home and we really like her. We think we will probably go straight over hurdles with her and there’s a mares’ maiden hurdle at Uttoxeter in about ten days’ time that we are thinking about or one at Huntingdon on Tuesday that we are having a look at. She could be useful in the mares’ novice hurdle division as she had a lofty reputation before her win in the point-to-point.

She is going chasing this time. She loves soft ground and stays forever. Will probably look for some of those better handicap chases in mid-winter.

She prefers good ground so we will, hopefully, get a run or two into her before Christmas. She might then have a break and we might try and step her up to three miles, as she relaxes now and stays very well. That might bring some more improvement out of her.

He normally goes well when fresh and ran another big race when second in the Grand Sefton at Aintree on Saturday. We’ll look for something else for him now and hope he can go one better.

We like her. She is only a four-year-old but appears to be working nicely. I think we are going to run in a bumper at Carlisle and then go over hurdles after that. I think she will stay very well so hopefully we can get her handicapped to take her chance in some of those decent mares’ handicaps in the spring.

Trainer says

He has been a bit of a stable star but he had a run at Wetherby the other day and was just a bit ring rusty and had a good blow. He seems to do that sometimes but he will improve a lot and I think he will go well next time. He might have a couple of runs over hurdles like we did last season and then go back over fences.

He goes for that Graduation Chase at Haydock on November 22 for that Graduation Chase again. We are obviously aiming for the National and he will take the same route as last year. It was unfortunate the ground was good as he is not the quickest and wants soft ground. He was struggling halfway round and then just stayed on. With the experience and another year on his back and soft ground he could go a lot closer.

He needs it bottomless to see him at his best so we are going to go Haydock on November 22. The main target is the Tommy Whittle - he was second in it last year and we are hoping he can go one better.

He goes for the Paddy Power Gold Cup on Saturday and then depending on what happens there it will guide us as to what we do with him. He looks like he has improved at home physically and if he has improved on the racetrack as well we could be stepping up in grade but we start off in the Paddy Power.

We like him and he has taken a bit of time to come right but has improved plenty. He is probably on quite a nice mark and we are just trying to find the right race for him at the minute. There hasn’t been a lot around but as soon as the ground comes soft, I would like to think he would take a bit of beating off his mark.

He was a bit disappointing last year but he had a long season on the Flat and maybe just needed a break. We are going to go over fences with him and use his four-year-old allowance with him as he jumps really well and is very athletic. Hopefully, going over fences will bring the best out of him.
