Trainer says

He eventually won one the other day at Warwick and then ran no race at Wincanton. He is a horse that needs things to go his own way but he has ability and I'm dying to put him over further. He is a staying horse and he should be winning again if I place him in the right races.

He is a frustrating horse and always finishes second, third or fourth. He is nearly older than me and I would love him to win one race before he is probably retired. He is getting old but is a grand old boy.

He disappointed on his last run but other than that he had been consistent. We are going to check his wind to see if we are missing something but he will be a much nicer horse with another year on his back.

Winner of four of his 11 starts and currently rated 133 over hurdles. Returned to winning form when beating Tea Clipper a length and three quarters in a handicap hurdle at Huntingdon (2m 3 1/2f) in February off a mark of 127.  

Trainer says

He’s a bony horse – even though he won a chase he’s not the biggest of horses and hence we brought him back over hurdles. Ground is important to him and we were lucky at Huntingdon last time as he managed to get away with it. He’s had a wind operation that has helped him relax and he’s in the Coral Cup but wouldn’t get in it at the moment. He’s in the consolation race at Kempton for horse who get balloted out and I’m sure he will get three miles in time. God willing he is still on the upward curve and I can see him getting up to the 140’s.

Trainer says

He has been disappointing over fences as he jumps so well at home. We might go hurdling with him between now and the end of the season and go chasing with him next year. He definitely has ability and is one to keep the right side of.

Winner of four of his 10 starts and currently rated 144 over fences. Finished third, beaten 27 lengths, to Newtide in the Grade 2 Towton Novices Chase at Wetherby (3m) in February.

He is another nice one of Andrew Brooks’ and he won two very nice novice chases. He was third in the Towton at Wetherby and I know people were disappointed with him but it was the ground. The ground up the straight all but dried up and he has got to have soft ground. He has an entry in the RSA and he is probably going to go for the Midlands National on the Saturday after the Gold Cup or a big novice handicap chase over three miles at Uttoxeter on the same day. Uttoxeter always tends to be pretty soft ground so he will go for one of those.

He was second in his bumper and is another horse who wants decent ground. His jumping has been average and we don’t know why as he jumps well at home but his time will come.

She has been really frustrating and irritating. She has had all kinds of niggly little problems and shown nothing like the form she showed when second at Cheltenham last Spring. She has definitely got ability and it might be that she had enough and wants to become a mum but we will persevere for the rest of the season and see.

He is another horse who has rather lost his way and he didn’t take to fences even though he was placed. He was very tough and brave and totally over handicapped. I would like to think he would come back and is another who likes good ground.

She has run two really good races in bumpers and we have had a nightmare time with her. She has been picking up little infections which have curtailed her hurdling career but it will come. She is an above average mare who should be winning her hurdle race.

He is ok and he disappointed at Exeter on very heavy ground. He has a reasonable mark and will jump fences but will stay hurdling for the time being.

She is another horse who wants decent ground and she ran a cracker at Fakenham when finishing second. She definitely has some ability and will definitely win races when we have some better ground.

Winner of two of his 10 starts and currently rated 127 over hurdles. Returned to winning form in a handicap hurdle at Doncaster (3m 1/2f) this month when beating Mr Caffrey five lengths off a mark of 120.  

Trainer says

He is another horse who wants good ground and we got lucky at Doncaster the other day. It stayed dry and he didn’t really take to fences so we are going to try again with him next year. I was very impressed with him the other day upping him to three miles and he really got the trip well. He should be winning again but again on ground no worse than good to soft.

He is another one screaming for better ground and a half brother to Presenting Percy who runs in the Gold Cup. He wants three miles but has to have no worse than good to soft ground.

He is another horse desperate for better ground, and when it comes right he should win a couple of chases before the season is out.

Winner of two of her 14 starts and currently rated 112 over fences. Gained her last success in a mares novices handicap chase at Southwell (3m) in December when scoring by eight lengths from Loveherandleaveher off a mark of 107.

Trainer says

She is a sweet mare and not the biggest. She won her race at Southwell and you can put a line through her race at Wetherby as she banged a joint. She was going to run the other day but didn’t eat up so we didn’t chance it. She should win a race again before the end of the season and is a proper staying mare.

He is a horse that is still backward and wouldn’t handle this heavy ground. He will be winning race in time but maybe next season rather than this season.

He is another horse who has been screaming for better ground and he did really well early on. He was a cheap purchase from Amanda Perrett’s and he had a little spin on the Flat the other day. We are just treading water until the ground become decent for him over hurdles and there are some nice juvenile handicaps later on which he will go for. He will jump fences in time and definitely a horse to keep an eye on when he gets better ground. Two and half mile handicaps should be tailormade for him.

He is another horse screaming for better ground and he will be going chasing in the New season. If the ground relents we will try and run in a hurdle race but he does need that decent ground.

Winner of one of his 6 starts and currently rated 124 over hurdles. Off the mark with a head victory from Flic Ou Voyou in a novice hurdle at Taunton (2m 3f) in December.  

Trainer says

He is a bony little horse who came good and won a race at Taunton and was second to quite a good horse of Philip Hobbs’s at Ffos Las. He is going to have a crack at the EBF Final as well and off 124 he may not be quite good enough to win it but he is an improving type going the right way. If that doesn’t work out he will win another novice before going chasing next year.

Trainer says

He is a horse that lost his way completely last year and I have no idea why. He has gone and won two smallish races and that has got him back on track. He ran no race the other day and I’m almost certain I ran him too soon after having a flu injection. He is back on song again and wants soft ground and he should be winning again over staying distances.

Trainer says

He disappointed me a little bit in his race at Newbury but actually ran quite well at Doncaster the other day when finishing second to a horse of Ben Pauling’s when giving lumps of weight away. He is qualified for the EBF Final and that would he his next objective at Sandown on Saturday. He will jump fences next season that’s a certainty.

He is a frustrating horse and has done nothing really since he won his bumper. He has been placed in his hurdles and chases and is on the market to be sold. He will do somebody a little job whether it be pointing or hunter chasing.

She is about to come back having won her bumper. She got a little injury at home but will come back hurdling and she is a nice little filly.

He is a frustrating horse who has been knocking on the door. He is not the biggest or the most scopey and I have advised the owners to have a go back on the Flat as he has to have soft ground. He will win his little hurdle race but no more than that.

Trainer says

He is another horse who was very good first time over fences and then rather lost his way after that. Frustratingly, he deposited Leighton (Aspell) a couple of times. He has ability and we are going too bring him back over hurdles. He has just got to learn to relax in his races. He wants half decent ground and will go back over fences in the Autumn.

He is another horse who is screaming for better ground and he has had a mid season break. He has also had a wind operation and he won’t be running until it dries up but he is ready to go as soon as it does.

Trainer says

He finished off last season very well landing two staying chases. He has been disappointing early on but he did run a half decent race at Exeter the other day when finishing fifth in the Devon National. It might be that he is a Spring horse and he could go up to Hexham for the race he won last year then up to Perth for the National race he won. Hopefully, he will come good but he isn’t getting any younger.

He is another horse who has had a mid season break and another horse who wants decent ground. He is doing very well and for a horse who wanted seven furlongs on the Flat he stays well and is relaxing. He might jump fences in the Spring as well but is a horse who want no worse than good to soft.
