In 2019, Philippe Peltier teamed up with his daughter Camille at their private training facilities at La Chappelle d’Aligne, situated about 30 minutes outside Angers.
Philippe, who has trained more than 1300 winners and has enjoyed Grade 1 success on several occasions, was delighted to welcome home Camille who used to ride as an amateur before learning her trade at the yards of Andre Fabre, Jean-Claude Rouget and Guy Cherel.
Camille also spent some time in England at Paul Nicholls’s Ditcheat yard, as well as at Ballydoyle in Ireland, but decided that rather than set up on her own, she preferred to team up with her father.
It is an arrangement that works really well and allows them to split their duties in the winter when Philippe takes horses to Cagnes-Sur-Mer and Camille travels with another set of horses to Pau.
Here, they talk to Liz Price of attheraces.com about their prospects.
