Very hard to knock in recent months (7) FUEGO D'IRATY has been consistently in the mix and has an excellent opportunity to open his 2019 account. (8) FRENCH ARCTIC made no bones about imposing at Reims three weeks ago and with hind shoes off again will be no pushover. (4) FLYNN STAR looked a different horse last month at Graignes when first time barefoot. He breaks in front here and with shoes off again can apply the pressure. The consistent (5) FLUOR impressed on his re+AC0-entry late March and can also get in on the action.
On a fine run since returning to competition (7) CALINE DE FEMISSON trounced the opposition at Chartres last time out and looks eminently capable of confirming. (12) AS YOU LIKE boasts a superb record in the amateur division but is 25m worse off and may have to play second fiddle. After a much needed lung+AC0-opener following her break (8) CALLIOPE DE VISAIS goes barefoot from the front line and will have her chances. Very consistent for the most part (9) CYRANO DE L'ITON seldom disappoints at this level and is proven at the venue. With six wins in twelve career starts (14) ESTIMA BELLA gave a superb account of herself on re+AC0-entry at Laval late last month and in this company looks the pick of the field. Wiels will nonetheless want to keep a watchful eye on (15) ETOILE DE QUESNY who raced significantly better at Graignes than the result reflects. (11) ELITE NEMO steps back up in class following her Saumur victory and breaking in front will do her chances no disservice. Already a winner here (13) ESTERELLA D'IDEF is markedly better than her recent performance would suggest and must be afforded respect.
The most consistent horse in the field with ten victories from fifteen runs (17) DIAMANT DU LUPIN may not have been seen out since December but he is all class and can get straight back down to business. The complicated (16) DA VINCI BOND has the advantage of race+AC0-fitness on his side and will be a decent opponent if he can repeat his Machecoul performance. (7) DELTA DE L'ERDRE has returned from his break in fine shape and from the first line looks a player. Oddly below+AC0-par at Reims last time (14) DIPLOMATE D'AM is nevertheless in good condition and will not be far off the mark. (13) DELICE ANGEVIN will be partnered by Mathieu Mottier this time and can begin to redeem himself.
Following a tricky start to the year (17) EXPRESSO GOOD has turned a corner lately with two fine performances and with hind shoes off again can win this. Solid on his only start at Cordemais (16) EDGY PERRINE's recent performance at Vincennes belies the result and he should have a lot to offer. Barring the occasional fault (7) EDDINGTON FOUTEAU has hardly set a foot out of line since December and will have a good hand to play from the first row. (9) EDGEWOOD has not been firing on all cylinders lately but is confirmed here and Thorel has called on the services of David Thomain. (14) ECKMULH DE KERLEAN is also confirmed under these conditions and can get a look in.
Recently arrived at the yard of Vincent Lacroix the Norwegian (1) JACCAROO beat the excellent Looking Superb last October and being behind in earnings he starts in front and can get his French career off to a winning start. (13) CALINE DE FLEUR reassured at Le Mont+AC0-Saint+AC0-Michel two weeks ago and with Thomain back in charge can put on another good show. (4) CASINO CEHERE finished fourth to her that day after having imposed at Enghien and can again figure prominently. (12) ONCEFORALL FACE seldom fails to fire when applied and the nature of his recent French re+AC0-entry bodes well for his chances. (16) CAVIAR DU VIVIER is back on the boil and can trot in for a cheque.
