Gordon Elliott (01 March 2022): "He’s been the horse of a lifetime. Anyone that comes into this yard, especially kids, the first horse they want to see is Tiger Roll. We probably don’t realise how lucky we are to have a horse like him. We brought him over to Cheltenham last week to school him around the cross-country course and he was very good. The one thing we always worry about with Tiger Roll is the ground. He isn’t the same horse on soft ground. There’s only one place I care about winning with him and that’s the cross-country race at the Cheltenham Festival. I wouldn’t worry about his form this season, if the ground comes up good at Cheltenham, he’ll come alive. He’s getting older, it would be hard to say that he could have all his ability, but if he can turn up in 80% form compared to his best in previous years, I think he’ll take all the beating."

Gordon Elliott (13 October 2021): "He’s not getting any younger, so we’ll play it ear with him and see how he’s going. He was a bit later coming back in than usual, so we don’t have a specific starting point in mind for him yet. He doesn’t owe anybody anything and do right by him based on what we’re seeing from him."

Gigginstown House Stud (11 March 2021): "Again, he’s another one, the better the ground, the better his chance. At his age now, if it doesn’t suit, he’ll just spit out the dummy. I was actually very happy at Navan, but everyone was giving out. He was beaten soon after the second last and Keith (Donoghue) wasn’t hard on him. He’s obviously not the horse he was, which is why I have a gripe with the handicapper. If he won, there is a chance he could be retired, but also, there is a chance he could run next year. Red Rum was dropped 7lb the third year he won the National as a 12yo, but Tiger loves his training and racing. During the summer here on his break, he is moping around, miserable. Whatever happens with Tiger’s career, he’ll be retired a long time, and as ever, Tiger will tell us. "

Gordon Elliott (14 October 2020): "We’ve had a lovely clean run with him so far this season and he’s in great order. It wasn’t straightforward with him last season, as he had a setback early in the season that led to us chasing our tails a bit with him. The ground went against him at Cheltenham and he came home a very tired horse from there. With that in mind, it wasn’t the end of the world that we didn’t have to keep the pressure on him to get to the Grand National a few weeks later. We’ll see what the ground is like closer to the time, but we could start him off in the Ladbrokes Champion Chase at Down Royal. If he doesn’t go there, he could have a run over hurdles somewhere. The aim is to get him back to Cheltenham for the cross-country race and then onto the Grand National."

Gordon Elliott (05 March 2020): "He’s in great form and we’re looking forward to getting him to the cross-country race. He’s as fit as I can get him considering he hasn’t has as smooth a preparation this season as he did last season. He was so good in the race last year that you’d be hoping he wouldn’t need to be at his very best to win. At the end of the day he’s a 171-rated chaser that’s running in the cross-country chase and hopefully that will show on the day."

Gordon Elliott (16 October 2019): "Tiger Roll is in great form and he’s cantering away. I don’t think I’ll start him off until Christmas this season. We went to Cheltenham a bit earlier than that last season and he came back a bit sore from it, so we might just take our time with him and aim to start him off in a hurdle race at Leopardstown’s Christmas meeting. From there it’ll be onto the Boyne Hurdle, the Glenfarclas Cross-Country Chase at the Cheltenham Festival and the Grand National. He’s a celebrity now and he’s had a busy summer with appearances and all that celebrity stuff! He looks great and I’m very happy with him. We’ll try not to burden him with too many expectations this season, as he has already done so much, but you’d like to think he’d be the one to beat in the Cross-Country Chase at Cheltenham if he turns up in half the form that he did last season."

Gordon Elliott (19 February 2019): "I couldn’t believe how well he won at Navan on Sunday. In my mind, it looked a nice spot to give him a pipe opener for Cheltenham and I thought he’d finish last or second last! That was the first time we’ve had blinkers on him for a while and it’s fair to say they worked. He travelled brilliantly. I’d imagine we’ll leave them on for Cheltenham. To win at three Cheltenham Festivals and a Grand National, it just shows the sort of horse he is. He might not be the best horse I’ve ever trained, but he’s definitely one of the most likeable. Watching a horse like him would put a smile on your face."
