Verdict

Wind surgery appears to have been the making of Nardaran because he returned with a facile success here before following up at Sandown. The extra half-mile asks a sterner question of him, as does his penalty, so the vote goes to LISTENTOYOURHEART, who has kept good company since winning a Listed mares' novices' hurdle and kept on for fourth in the Welsh Champion Hurdle. Goblet Of Fire is still fairly treated in this sphere and has to be taken seriously.

Expert View Verdict

An open race can go to the progressive NARDARAN who had a bit in hand last time when outstaying his rivals up the Sandown hill. That suggested that this longer trip would deliver more and he's taken to defy a 7lb higher mark. Sign Again ran much better than the finishing figures suggest on his reappearance in a much stronger contest than this and looks well treated on his novice form so he is arguably the most interesting contender at a price. The consistent dual purpose performer Goblet Of Fire holds no secrets from the handicapper but can also compete for a place.
