Verdict
ROCKY'S HOWYA has been found another excellent opportunity and should take all the beating. Champion point-to-pointer for the 2022/2023 season, he switched back to hurdling last November and has really found his niche in this grade. He disappointed over fences here last month, but previously registered a third claimer success and now contests an ordinary race. Howdoyalikeherhome is rated 1lb higher, but has been well beaten in two recent chases. Five-time winner Tullyveery Lad was badly hampered at an early stage when finishing well held at Ballinrobe and is capable of better.
Expert View Verdict
Having won a claiming hurdle at Clonmel in May, ROCKY'S HOWYA was probably made too much use of back chasing last time and, returning to the easier nature of this race, he's taken to get his head back in front with him favoured by the weights. Howdoyalikeherhome has struggled of late sent chasing, but he's respected down in grade back hurdling for his top yard with a new headgear combo on. Tullyveery Lad is a tentative third choice although hardly rock solid.
