Verdict
HOMER STOKES has tumbled down the handicap, but bounced back to form when dropped into this lowly grade at Wolverhampton last time. Well clear of the rest when beaten only a neck in second, the eight-year-old is taken to regain the winning thread. Runner-up on his last couple of outings, Woodrafff is likely to prove competitive once again, while Laura's Breeze returns to 7f with a shout.

WOODRAFFF is in danger of becoming frustrating but he's gone very close in similar events the last twice so looks an obvious pick here. He may have won if breaking on terms last time and the blinkers worn that day are retained. Homer Stokes bounced back to form when runner up last time in a similar contest and is well treated on these terms on his old form. He can throw down the biggest challenge ahead of Spirit Of Bowland a multiple course winner who has been hinting at a revival recently.
