Time For Wine has gone close on numerous occasions recently, the latest seeing her finish a length away from success at Sandown. She has to enter the reckoning, but could find FASHION SENSE too good. Clive Cox's filly led for much of the way at Ascot on her introduction, only to be overhauled by a pair of more experienced rivals, and she can build on that. Haylah could improve for her debut outing, and Hedonism is another who fits that bracket.

Her Terms struck narrowly at Brighton and has claims off 3lb higher, while Bellevarde is up 1lb for her second-placed finish over this course and distance last time. Both have strong claims, but perhaps SPIRIT OF ROSANNA can take advantage of some leniency from the handicapper. A good third at Chepstow three starts ago, she has struggled since but is down 3lb here, which could see her improve.

This could be between the two last-time-out winners, with BAHUTA ACHA preferred ahead of Jim Rockford. The latter has a 4lb rise to contend with after winning over 5f here, but he still has to give 5lb to the selection despite that horse's 8lb rise for his Catterick success. The manner of that win in North Yorkshire was such that the assessor may not have his measure, despite the big impost. Madame Jo Jo ran reasonably on her handicap bow last time and completes the shortlist.

PETER PARK appeared to get back to form when staying on for third once headed at Ascot, and a similar effort off the same mark could be enough to take this contest. Pastfact completed a hat-trick earlier in the season, including two wins at this track, but has shown signs of being in the handicapper's grip of late. Evanescent has claims on his Chepstow third in June, while Oeil De Tigre is respected off 1lb higher than when winning here latest.

Foxford has to be respected after winning nicely at Chepstow, but she was taking advantage of a falling mark on that occasion and is back up 3lb here. Everkyllachy has placed the last twice at Brighton and gets another chance off the same figure, but preference is for TIME MEDICEAN. The veteran showed there's plenty of life in him yet when beaten just a nose here latest and a similar effort off 1lb higher could be enough.

AIR OF YORK was not disgraced when fourth at Leicester and his one turf success to date has come at this track. He is taken to get the better of Fantasy Justifier, who ran respectably here last time, while Captain Scooby had Tally's Song behind when sixth in a big-field handicap here most recently and completes the shortlist.

AMBITIOUS ICARUS has shown a reasonable level of consistency at Newcastle of late and the return to turf should not inconvenience Richard Guest's veteran, who has seven wins to his name on grass. Concur struggled at Lingfield but a return to his previous form would give him every chance, while Captain Ryan is often there or thereabouts at this track so it might be worth forgiving him a lacklustre Goodwood effort latest.

Owen The Law boxed on bravely from the front to score at Chepstow but a 5lb rise might scupper his chances of a follow-up, while Savannah's Show has a 6lb penalty to contend with for her win at Musselburgh yesterday. Cove Beach was third behind Owen The Law last time and could get closer on more favourable terms, but JONNYSIMPSON hinted that her turn was near over this course and distance latest and she can strike off 1lb lower.
