BLUE RIDGE GUY has shaped with some promise on his five career starts and he is taken to get the better of Golden Strike, who has not built on his creditable third here three starts ago. Orson may also give the selection something to think about, particularly from his favoured inside post-position.
Crossroad South was very slowly away on debut before the penny dropped and he finished strongly. Fearless Cruise faltered after showing up well for a long way on a sloppy track and enters calculations, but preference is for MATCHLESS ABILITY. Angel Salinas' colt just failed to hold on over a furlong further last time and is taken to get off the mark over today's trip.
After running woefully on turf last time, WICKLOW VAMP returns to the main track and is taken to pick up the winning thread she had shown prior to that latest effort. Velvet Hope has shaped like a filly on the upgrade and looks a danger, while Littlebitastuff wired the field here last time and could go close if allowed a soft lead here.
The newcomer Apt To Star showed signs of ability in a workout here recently, but without race experience, may struggle to peg back MUSICAL CHARM. David Fawkes' filly is proving expensive to follow after failing as favourite on her two career starts, but is given another chance over this longer trip. Enchanting Melody looked a high-class prospect on her debut, but has not shown the same level of form since.
Jean De Actress produced a brilliant display to score on the main track here last time, but has not hit those heights when trying grass, so this could be an opportunity for MISS BRADFORD CO to get back in the winner's circle. A confirmed turf operator, she has been running with credit of late and could get back to winning ways now dropped in class. With Essence shaped like a filly with some promise last year and any support for her first start in nine months is worth noting.
Blue Jay Way was well beaten on her only start, but was heavily bet that day and has chances based on her recent sharp workouts. Radarhazard has also shown some speed in her practice runs and could be ready to challenge first time out, but RED RUFFLE has proven race form and could get off the mark here. A reproduction of her excellent run here last time, her first start for six months, should see her there or thereabouts at the finish.
Say It Isn't Sold returns to the grade which saw him win comfortably three starts ago and is one for the short-list, while It's Just Business looks a steady improver who ran well in third here last time. PARISIAN COWBOY has only finished out of the money once in eight starts and is drawn to get revenge on Chrizzy this afternoon after just failing to hang on to the lead two starts ago.
C.Soldier Field landed a 7f maiden event here last time out and there should be more to come, but LORDLEBO N MARYLOU achieved the same feat in more impressive style and gets the vote today. Casey's Biscuit has been in good heart over a route trip and must be respected as he drops in distance.
TRICKY SANDS improved on her debut to fill the runner-up berth over 5f here latest, further progress is expected over a longer trip today and she is taken to go one better. Great Actress has been knocking on the door and should give the selection most to think about.
