QUEENS BANDIT was picked off late when runner-up over a mile at Brighton last time. Charlie Clover's filly finished clear of the rest and the drop to this trip looks the logical move. Lord Percy has plenty to find with the selection on latest running, although he could make the frame with any improvement. Lion's Den has more scope than Shaqra Queen of the remainder.

INKBERROW landed the odds with the minimum of fuss at Wolverhampton. The Kodi Bear filly easily beat a solid yardstick in Lahan Kingdom, rated 70, and she can defy a penalty in this company on that evidence. Black Orchid has finished runner-up in all five starts so far, with her latest attempt at Southwell the best of those efforts. She looks the main danger, ahead of Royale Union and Poor Relation.

TEMPLE has been gelded since finishing a respectable third at Thirsk in July. He has plenty of scope for improvement and is taken to make his first start for James Owen's yard a winning one. Parisian Scholar beat the selection when landing that Thirsk contest, but he'll do well to confirm superiority on 6lb worse terms. The unexposed Bay Of Myths could prove a bigger threat back on quicker ground.

Mister Sox made the most of a drop in grade when scoring at Pontefract and a 2lb nudge up the ratings looks fair. That said, a return to class 4 company could leave the six-year-old vulnerable once more, with the downgraded BALDOMERO taken to capitalise. Mick Appleby's eight-year-old was beaten just a short head at York recently and compensation may be imminent. Rosenpur and Belsito are others of interest at this level.

DIAMONT KATIE improved for being ridden more prominently when scoring over C&D with something in hand. A 5lb rise could prove to be lenient for Karl Burke's filly and she edges the vote over Pontefract winner Brighton Boy. The Gregorian gelding shouldn't have any issues stepping back up from 6f and isn't taken lightly dropping in class. Stablemate Quest For Fun is also of interest given his current form.

Having landed the spoils on five of his last six outings, it would be folly to rule out Classy Clarets given his upward trajectory. That said, the five-year-old is effectively racing off 9lb higher given the change of apprentice, which may be enough to anchor him. Little separates last month's C&D winner Vince Le Prince and runner-up Indefensible at the revised weights but it may be worth chancing TATTIE BOGLE, who could improve for the introduction of a visor.

TOCA MADERA has been in excellent form and should go very close in search of a three-timer. He appreciated the drop back to the minimum trip at Beverley after finishing in mid-division when sent off favourite for the Portland, and proved that success on the Westwood was no flash in the pan when following up at York. He's difficult to oppose in this sort of form and gets the nod ahead of Gold Star Hero and Baker Blue.

ARRANGE is holding her form really well and deserves to get her head in front. A C&D winner, the eight-year-old showed her versatility trip-wise when grabbing second over 1m4f at Chester and wasn't beaten far here over 2m in June. Everything points to a bold showing and she's got top apprentice rider Lauren Young in the saddle. Captain Cairney and Wasthatok are the dangers.
