Course specialist BEALLANDENDALL returned with another brilliant run at Deborah Faulkner's local course to finish second here last month. He keeps defying both age and the handicapper and should be thereabouts once again off the same mark of 107. Atirelarigo was fourth in that course and distance contest and also won this in 2016 off a 2lb higher mark, while West Wizard has been in good order and requires plenty of respect. Venetia Williams has won this twice in the last five years and Top And Drop makes each-way appeal off the same mark as when second here over hurdles in 2016.

Point winner Good And Hardy shaped with promise in a bumper here in the spring and, having shaped like he would be most effective over staying distances, it is no surprise to see him starting life over 3m now he goes hurdling. Full Tilt is another recruit from the pointing field who looks full of promise and the form of his Dromahane victory between the flags looks strong, with the second finishing fourth in a hot bumper at Cheltenham before opening his account over timber late last month. Easyrun De Vassy cost 105,000 pounds in the summer and wasn't disgraced on his debut here last month, however, preference is for TRIXSTER, who has winning experience in this sphere and lost nothing in defeat when second at Southwell last time.

DOMINATEUR has hinted at being a useful performer in his three outings so far and the way he stayed on into second behind the more than useful Kateson over course and distance last time suggests he'll be winning one of these sooner rather than later. Secret Reprieve offered enough encouragement in an Aintree bumper last month to suggest he can get involved up in trip and jumping obstacles, while Smiths Cross has yet to finish outside of the first two home under Rules and should run his usual honest race.

STEELY ADDITION won over hurdles here last season and is expected to build on a solid chase debut third at Ffos Las last month. Yalltari is debuting over the larger obstacles on his return from a break and is worth monitoring in the betting, though a big run from Vodka All The Way on his fencing bow would also come as no surprise. Philip Hobbs' six-year-old is closely related to a winning pointer and is a half-brother to a chase winner.

RAMSES DE TEILLEE has winning C&D form in the book and is expected to build on his Badger Ales Trophy fifth with the benefit of that comeback outing under his belt. David Pipe's charge is having his second start since undergoing wind surgery and shades the verdict ahead of returning pair Another Venture, a track and trip winner, and Duke Des Champs, who landed a bumper here on debut and is unexposed over staying distances.

POKER PLAY shaped well on his reappearance/first run since a wind operation at Worcester in October and can take a big step forward here for the David Pipe team. Back over hurdles now after that chasing debut last time, he should enjoy this softer ground and step up in distance. Truckers Lodge stayed on well over an insufficient trip at Worcester last time and could do better now over 3m, while Diablo De Rouhet was last seen beating three home in the Grade 1 Ballymore at Cheltenham and looks sure to go close.

Eeze A Saint is related to plenty of smart French hurdlers but looked badly in need of the experience when only beating three home at Ayr last month and, although he is fancied to be wiser here, this looks a strong enough contest. Ballybreen represents Evan Williams and should know his job on debut, but YOUNG BULL was third behind the smart Encore Champs (has since followed up over hurdles) at Ffos Las in October and can land this before switching to jumping over longer trips.
