ALHEZABR was disqualified when finishing first past the post at Ffos Las last month. The lightly raced three-year-old could be open to further improvement and gets the vote to break his maiden tag here. Wonder Elmossman made an encouraging start to his career after posting a second-placed effort at Salisbury and could be the biggest danger to the selection, now upped in trip. Karuoka also has to be considered now switching from handicaps.

VAXHOLM seems to be heading in the right direction after a recording a third-placed effort at Wolverhampton last month. The two-year-old gelding is bred to be effective at this distance and a chance is taken on him to gain his first victory off a low weight. Twistaline is another who has been showing improvement after a promsing at Brighton and can figure here. Melos is interesting on his nursery debut after a gelding operation.

Sir Maxi is an interesting contender on his stable debut for George Boughey and is fitted with first-time cheekpieces. However, a chance is taken on RUSSCO who now searches for his fifth consecutive victory after a game performance at this course and can defy a 6lb rise. Handytalk is another who has strong claims after his recent success and remains on a workable mark.

Tawaafoq represents the stable who won both divisions of this race last year, one with this horse, and he can get involved back in this class despite an extra 7lb. MAJOR VALENTINE is still going strong and has plenty in his favour with going, trip, and track all bringing out his best, and he could go close off his current mark in this class. Breezyandbright has hit a top four placing in his last eight starts and is admirably consistent, suggesting he could also get involved.

Creek Harbour won a division of this last year and is back for a repeat off a handicap mark 7lb higher. He clearly handles the track and was a good second at Lingfield last month, so could well get involved in the finish once again. MANUMISSION won nicely here in August before a second at Wolverhampton when failing to get a clear run. An added 4lb now looks pretty generous, and he may have too much in the finish for Andre Amar, who is well worth another try at this distance.

Non Stop looks interesting as a rare runner on the Flat for his trainer and, as a son of Starspangledbanner, he looks ideally suited to this trip. KITSUNE POWER may have the best form after his length-and-a-half fourth at Ffos Las last month and any improvement could see success here. Newcomer Art Expert is hard to ignore on debut for his in-form yard and is well worth a market watch for signs of confidence.

VINCE LOMBARDI caught the eye when finishing third on his handicap debut at Sandown last month, finishing well after meeting trouble in running at a crucial stage. The son of Sea The Moon returns to 6f in this juvenile contest and looks the most appealing candidate, with the recent Ffos Las second Therehegoes expected to produce another bold showing as he drops in grade. The Brian Meehan-trained El Darooj was drawn wide at Lingfield on her latest start and has the potential to improve now switching to handicaps.

GLAMOROUS FORCE produced another solid effort when finishing third at Goodwood on his latest outing and, with a drop in grade set to help his cause, the four-year-old is taken to register his third win of the year. Nacho returned to form when runner-up at Beverley on his most recent run and looks a threat, while Blue Venture performed respectably when finishing fourth over course and distance last time and can also get involved.
