TOBRAVE posted an encouraging effort when third over this trip on debut at Kempton and should be all the wiser for the experience gained that day. Intimate Art took a forward step when runner-up over 6f at Ffos Las latest and should continue to improve now granted this additional furlong. The pick of the remainder may be the consistent Suffragette City, a 72-rated performer from the Richard Hannon team who was placed over this trip at Epsom latest.

BOBBY VEE handled soft ground well enough when fourth on debut at Lingfield and is expected to build on her 6f Brighton third last time off an unchanged rating. Company hasn't built on her debut third at Newbury as well as hoped but could fare better now going handicapping off a mark of 69. Others worthy of consideration are recent Windsor second Compton Lane, who is having his first run beyond 5f, and recent course (5f) second Pastfact, both of whom are handicap debutants.

Big Chill bounced back to form when second over track and trip latest and has place claims if running to his rating. However, it might be worth taking a chance on JAZZ CAT, who ran a debut full of promise when third over track and trip on good to soft ground on debut and is entitled to come on for the run. Where Next needs to step up on his previous efforts in order to figure but may well do so now first-time cheekpieces are applied.

MANTON GRANGE was beaten by under a length in a distance maiden at Redcar last time and is expected to go one better now returned to handicap company. Harlequin Striker drops back in trip after landing minor money off this mark at Windsor and can battle it out with recent Lingfield second Cincuenta Pasos and Short Work, who is sporting a first-time visor, for the silver medal.

A trappy contest with just the four lining up but preference goes to DESERT TANGO who won over C&D two starts ago in good style and has the assistance of Jim Crowley in the saddle. Monday Club looks the obvious danger but has to improve on recent form, while it will be interesting to see how the market reacts to newcomer Quetzaltenango. No Pleasing You has a mountain to climb on her three efforts to date.

AFRICAN SHOWGIRL has been in excellent form of late with two gutsy successes at Brighton and Ffos Las last month. The daughter of Showcasing should appreciate the step up in trip and another rise in the weights shouldn't prove enough to stop her. Sir Pass I Am is entitled to take a big step forward now tackling handicap company, while Intrigue will benefit from a drop back down in distance.

AGENT GIBBS had dropped to a fair mark last time when winning at York last Sunday and escapes any sort of penalty here with Mitch Godwin reunited to take the ride. Ardamir is of interest making his handicap debut having ran well enough in three maidens. Come Back King has bumped into some fair rivals and is likely to appreciate a step up in distance.
