SHEM attracted plenty of support prior to his debut third at Pontefract and there was much to like about that performance. He is likely go forward from gate four here and could prove difficult to peg back under Richard Kingscote, who rides this track as well as anyone. Haseef went down by a narrow margin at Kempton and he is likely to give another good account, while Sands In Time and Elland Road Boy are both respected newcomers representing top northern yards.

Hot Scoop is on a sharp upward curve and won't give up on the four-timer without a fight, but it could be tough to give weight and a beating to CUBAN BREEZE. Tom Dascombe's charge justified strong market support when making all over 5f here on Monday and despite stepping up in trip under a 6lb penalty, a repeat performance is forecast. Gumdrop might go well at a bigger price.

The form of Chase The Dollar's Ayr success took a timely boost when the runner-up from that contest won at Beverley on Wednesday. He starts handicap life off a mark of 78 and ought to figure prominently, but SPIRIT OF SISRA shades the verdict. The fact she hung right at Sandown last time is a slight concern, but she was an impressive Newmarket winner on her penultimate start and can make a big splash on her nursery bow. Scots Gold also merits consideration.

LINCOLN PARK swerved an engagement here earlier in the week but has winning course form in the book, has bagged a low draw and races off his last winning rating. Revich is proven under these conditions and could show up well from stall two in a first-time visor. The latter comment is also applicable to Jackstar, who ran well for a long way over 1m at Windsor last time and could benefit from this drop back in distance.

GLORY FIGHTER is turned out under a penalty after scoring over this trip at Haydock last week and is expected to follow up to land a quick double. Kindly has been raised 2lb for rattling the crossbar at Pontefract two weeks ago but could put up most resistance. Others to bear in mind are C&D winner Canford Bay, who was behind the selection latest but has claims if back to his best, and unexposed three-year-old Spirit Of The Sky.

MUTABAAHY was thwarted by a short-head over this trip at Catterick last time and, racing off his old mark before a 1lb rise comes into play, Anthony Brittain's five-year-old rates the one to beat. Militia knuckled down well when winning off 4lb lower at Musselburgh last time and is feared most, though it will be interesting to see if first-time cheekpiece can revitalise She Can Boogie, a track-and-trip winner who has dropped in the ratings.

GABRIAL THE ONE wasn't disgraced in a muddling race here earlier in the week, and could bounce back to form now in a bigger field with a bit of pace to chase after. The four-year-old seldom runs a bad race at this venue, and has a handy low draw in stall five now under David Nolan. Tonyx has been dropped a couple of pounds after finishing last at Newbury last month and could bounce back, while hat-trick seeker Highwaygrey is another worthy of respect.

MIDRARR left her Doncaster debut behind when third in a competitive novice event at Newbury last month and should appreciate this extra couple of furlongs. She briefly looked the winner last time before being outpaced, and this looks a nice chance for her to get off the mark. Eltham Palace was just over four lengths behind German Oaks winner Miss Yoda on debut 12 months ago and should be wiser now, while Gold Ribbon's front-running style should stand her in good stead around here.

DEPOSIT has clearly improved from two to three years, and for the step up to this distance, and his winning form at Bath might just stand him in good stead at this tight track. There should be more to come and David Simcock's horses are going a lot better than when racing resumed in June. Sefton Warrior carries a 6lb penalty for winning at Yarmouth recently and heads the list of dangers from the hat-trick seeking Madeeh.
