KINETICA made a debut full of promise recently, finishing well clear of the remainder when narrowly held over 7f at Kempton, and she is taken to have gained enough from that initial experience to go one better tonight. Should the selection not take to turf, then Goal Hanger, a seven-length second over 6f when very green first time out, could capitalise but the selection may have most to fear from Gabrial's Princess, a 45,000-guinea newcomer from the in form Bryan Smart stable.

Hoppy's Flyer's recent efforts suggests she could get off the mark soon and she continues to slide down the ratings, but of more appeal tonight is COAX, who has continued to improve since opening his account four starts ago. Mark Johnston's inmate narrowly failed to make all off this mark over 1m last week and will relish a return to this wining trip. Duquesa and Crucis Abbey both went well in defeat off tonight's mark latest, but a 4lb rise and a wide draw leaves Salisbury scorer Cadmium Loch with plenty to do.

The in form Michael Bell has a fine record at this track and his Babycakes should figure, but this could be between the progressive pair of Destiny Of Diva and CAPTIVATOR. Both did the business in style over this trip last time out and have 7lb rises to contend, but the latter's rails draw just edges him the vote. He has come on a bundle since being fitted with a hood and manner in which James Fanshawe's hat-trick seeker scored on his handicap debut at Doncaster in April suggests there is plenty more in the locker.

Former smart juvenile Layla's Hero continues to tumble down the ratings and could be ready to strike soon, while Suffolk Punch has been knocking on the door off this mark. However, it could pay to take a chance on VIVA RONALDO, who has done all his best work at this venue, including when landing a good 6f conditions event as a juvenile. That was nearly three years ago but he went close off a 1lb higher mark when last seen at this venue 13 months ago and has been treated kindly by the draw tonight.

Wolverhampton debut winner Tahaamah needs to settle better if he's to go one better than his handicap debut second over 1m at Pontefract in October. Sim Sala Bim shaped like capable of defying a penalty when getting off the mark over 1m2f at Windsor but he took a while to get going and this sharp circuit may not suit, so a chance is taken on CADORE. He has failed to live up to expectations so far but the form of his Newbury fifth off a 1lb higher mark latest is working out very well and his juvenile form suggests he will appreciate a return to easier ground tonight.

VIKING WARRIOR carries a 6lb penalty for his half-length Thirsk success ten days ago but has come a long way down the handicap since last summer and, aided by a good draw, he could follow up. Lindoro, a 7f winner at Thirsk in April, went very close to scoring again over that C&D off this mark latest but he has a wide draw to overcome tonight, as does The Big Hearth who enters the reckoning after narrowly failing to make all (Cyflymder third) over 7f at Windsor. North Central is no forlorn hope.
