Philip Rothwell won this race a couple of years ago with Fairwood Bob and MAYO MYSTIQUE gives the Tinahely handler another cracking chance today. There are plenty of positives to take from her four performances thus far and she probably went off too fast when third over 2m at Tramore last time. If ridden with more restraint today, she may be able to open her account. Henro Boy returns to the scene of his only career win (in a bumper) and commands respect, while Couleur De La Loi is another with claims in a tricky curtain-raiser.

BELLE BROOK should take all the beating here. She possibly found the extended 2m trip too sharp when a disappointing third at Clonmel and a repeat of her second behind Our Girl Salley in Listed company at Fairyhouse previously is expected to be good enough. Streamtown has performed honourably on her last couple of appearances in England and rates the biggest threat, while Three Monkeys was given a fine front-running ride by Shane Jackson at Tramore latest but is unlikely to get away with it again.

ROWLANDS EXPRESS gets the vote to strike on her first NH appearance since joining the Gordon Elliott team. Although still a maiden from nine starts, confidence will be sky high after landing a point-to-point event at Tyrella in January and that first taste of competitive action since February last year will have just taken the edge off. Arctic Mick won with plenty in hand at Navan on Friday and should go well under a 6lb penalty, while Sarah Battle makes up the shortlist after posting a much-improved performance at Clonmel last time.

A typically open renewal and preference is for Ian Ferguson's BALLY WALL. Runner-up off a 12lb lower mark last year, he faces no easy task but a couple of solid efforts in recent months suggest that he's in good heart and it's interesting that cheekpieces are now fitted. Supreme Builder looked like rewarding each-way support for the third consecutive time when coming down four from home at Punchestown latest and he should be involved with a clear round of jumping, while The Flying Dustman and Ferguson's other runner, Posh Bird, aren't without claims.

KANESH could take some stopping on his return to NH duty having impressed between the flags of late. A comfortable Tyrella victory was followed by a creditable second behind Grand National hope Backstage at Kirkistown last time and those efforts suggest that he's better than ever. Ballyvoneen has also been running well in point-to-point contests recently and is of considerable interest on his first outing in this sphere with blinkers applied. Lord Multifix cannot be left out of calculations under top amateur pilot, Jamie Codd.

Tom Taaffe saddled In The High Grass to win this race in 2005 and his ALL GREAT N THEORY is an interesting newcomer today. Distantly related to Grand National winner Comply Or Die, the Old Vic gelding is likely to want a true test of stamina in time but he cost 45,000 euros as a foal and Taaffe will certainly have him fit enough to do himself justice. Nutin Fancy won a point-to-point contest around this time last year and warrants respect on his NH debut, while Noble Steel, another who has won between the flags, can improve on his fifth at Navan in January.
