TULLYBEG exited at the first flight at Gowran recently but can put things right with a win here. He has shown good form in his career thus far but did unseat having ducked right at the first flight at Gowran. However that seemed uncharacteristic for him and while he gives away a penalty here, might prove good enough. Stormy Judge has claims having shown himself worthy of his 114 rating in the past. He hasn't run since May but did blunder at the last then at Limerick and today receives 15lb from the selection, which gives him a chance. Captain Mc was second in a similar race here last month and has claims, as his yard's apparent first string. He is no star but seems to stay well and goes well on reasonable ground. Stablemate Face The Odds, a 165,000-pound purchase in May 2019, was soundly beaten in two hurdles last winter and while he also stays well, needs to show more to win this.

BLUE MARKIE might be able to win this ordinary race on his second handicap start. He was just modest in point-to-points, winning an Adjacent Hunts Race on his 11th attempt and while subsequently unsold for 4,500 pounds in September 2019, he did show up nicely when third at Navan last month. He led to the final flight but was quickly passed by gambled Dreal Deal and while Blue Markie is no star, might win this winneable race. Greenandwhitearmy is a previous course winner who is proven in this grade. He comes here following a good effort 21 days ago and should run a solid race. Saint Or Sinner managed to win her bumper on debut here in July 2019 and while she had a future then, her form over hurdles has been poor and she now needs to show improvement in first-time blinkers.

FARCEUR DU LARGE can gain a belated first win. He initially showed real promise in his first two bumper starts but failed to build on that when sent hurdling, despite physically appearing the type to do well over jumps. However he has shown a useful enough level of ability over hurdles and takes a big step down in grade from the maiden hurdle he contested at Naas in January and will be well primed for a win before the high-class novices appear. Ennemi Public has shown a similar enough level of ability to his similarly-owned rival and reappears for the first time since March. He too will be ready for this but has 4lb to find on official ratings with the selection and might find him a fraction too strong. L'Un Deux Trois is an interesting runner in that he has shown nice ability on the Flat. He has yet to win and while he stays well, would ideally prefer a fast surface, which could be a concern today. Watch Guard hasn't run for 449 days and is best watched on hurdles debut.

Race conditions suit BEACON EDGE and he can win on reappearance. He was a smart performer last season when touched off by a nose in a Grade 2 and by a neck when last seen, before lockdown, at Naas in March. He is clearly a smart type who will be fit and ready for his comeback run. Curlew Hill is a useful type and seems to be progressing nicely over hurdles. He ran another solid race when second at Punchestown last month and should be able to give the selection a race with race-fitness a big help. Rocky Court, an 11-year-old has been in good form recently but will struggle to win this, while The Bottom Bar is best watched on debut for a new yard following a long layoff.

FAG AN BEALACH can make use of her very helpful mares' allowance in this chase, which is confined to horses rated 109 or less over hurdles. She was an impressive debut bumper winner at Down Royal in March 2019 and has since performed well over hurdles. She failed to win in two attempts in handicaps rated 107 but ran well on her latest run in March and appears the type who could do well over fences and contests this winnable race on reappearance. The Abbey is already rated 109 over fences and while he has won just once, a Flat race, in 21 career outings, has run well in two similar chases recently and should get involved at the business end. Knot On Time won his maiden hurdle here in August and also ran also well in a novice hurdle here in September but might do well to win this on chase debut.

COURT ADJOURED won a point-to-point and a maiden hurdle for Dermot McLoughlin and was having just her second start for Paul Stafford when scoring in fine style off a basement mark in a similar event at Sligo last month. The Court Cave mare readily accounted for Loch Luatha on that occasion and is taken to confirm the places off an 8lb higher mark. Cantkidakidder has two hurdle wins to his credit in the past and looks a big threat following a series of consistent efforts over fences in recent months including when pegged back in the closing stages by Gold Sun on that same Sligo card. Capture The Drama enters calculations having run well at Killarney on Monday, while point-to-point winner Rubiana wasn't disgraced at Punchestown last week.

FLANKING MANEUVER showed plenty of promise on both bumper runs last year and is taken to open his account after a ten-month absence. The selection kept on into fourth behind Festival D'ex at the Punchestown Festival and this represents a drop in class having also run with credit behind the useful Eric Bloodaxe on the Hattons Grace raceday at Fairyhouse. Gordon Elliott is doubly represented at a track where he invariably does well, and point-to-point winner Corran Cross together with Imperial Sachin's should be closely monitored in the betting. The former Dan Skelton-trained Pepite De Belle is another to note on her first start for Sam Curling.
