HARDLINE boasts some smart bumper form, including a close second behind the high-class Getabird, and would have gone close in his two maiden hurdle starts thus far but for late falls. That isn't too concerning, as he did manage to win a point-to-point contest in his earlier days, and the offspring of Arcadio can add to Gordon Elliott's victories in this race in both 2014 and 2015. Slippery Serpent ran away with a course bumper when last sighted and should give a good account on his return to hurdling duty, while Vittorio, Out Of The Loop and Amarillo Rose are others to keep an eye on.

Boytonrath would have an obvious chance if lining up but her participation must be in doubt after finishing sixth at Ballinrobe yesterday, so the vote goes to NAUGHTY BUT NICE. She remains relatively unexposed with only five hurdle starts under her belt and shaped with lots of promise when back from a break to finish fifth on the Flat at Navan 20 days ago. If translating that form to timber, she looks sure to go close. Wexford third Chance It and Charms Bracelet, the mount of Jack Kennedy, are others to note.

It's difficult to be too confident about any of these, but UP FOR DISCUSSION looks to have a definite chance. Prior to disappointing at Bellewstown, Enda Bolger's charge would have gone close to winning at Roscommon but for a fall two from home and he will go very close if bouncing back to that sort of form. Floramar has Ruby Walsh booked for his handicap debut and must enter calculations, while Secret Approach is no forlorn hope on best form.

None of these arrive in the best of form so it's hard to put forward a confident selection. However, GET SMART had a subsequent easy winner two lengths behind when landing his maiden at Wexford two starts ago and the 110-rated performer will play a leading role if able to reproduce that level of performance. Whats The Plot takes on lesser opposition than when fourth in handicap company at Ballinrobe and should make his presence felt, while the strong travelling Canny Tom can also deliver a challenge.

DELAYED ELOQUENCE has been knocking hard on the door over hurdles, landing the silver medal on each of her last four outings. She's expected to transfer that form over the larger obstacles this evening and shades the vote ahead of fellow chase debutants A Touch Of Sparkle, who has been in good order over the smaller obstacles this summer, and Tranquil Magic, who struck at this venue over hurdles on her penultimate outing.

TB BROKE HER lost little in defeat when finishing a one-length second over 3m1f at Wexford earlier in the month and is expected to give another good account following a 2lb rise. Dinnie's Vinnie is worth a market check now having his first start since March, while Tomcoole Lad is expected to remain competitive following a 4lb rise for scoring over 2m6f at Tramore last time out.

Noel Meade representative ROSERIVER HAS is expected to step up on his debut third at Sligo with the benefit of a run behind him and now fitted with a first-time tongue-tie. Casadel Sol has place claims if putting his best foot forward, while there may well be more to come from Stooshie, who makes some appeal on his Limerick second and Punchestown fifth in the spring.
