Verdict

CONSTELLATION CODE has tended to lack a strong finish. Blinkers have been added and he could improve. DA CAPO showed promise on debut. The step up in distance should suit and he does look the one to beat. ANYTHING FOR LOVE was not disgraced in his last two starts in the Western Cape. He makes his local and should be right there at the finish. GRACE LIGHTNING needs to do more to win but could earn some money.

Verdict

CRYSTAL CITY was just under 3 lengths behind rival V V POWER when they met. CRYSTAL CITY was slowly away on his debut so there should be improvement to come. V V POWER is improving and should go close to winning. BOBBETY BOO and FILLIPINA both showed improvement in their last starts but that was on the Polytrack and they will need to show tthey are just as good on the turf.

TIME OFF chased home his well-backed stable companion last time and could contest the finish once again. Trainer Alan Greeff poses a challenge to his followers as he has stable jockey Greg Cheyne on DERECHO, who has fair form and could be the one to beat. Verdict

A competitive-looking race. SULLENBERGER has not shown his best for some time but if finding his best he can earn some money. AQUA DELTA has been showing promise of late and has a winning chance. TOO PHAT TO FLY has not been disgraced in her two local starts and should be included in all exotics. Verdict

Ideal World filly COLORADO SPRINGS has yet to finish out of the first two in her 11 starts, winning four of them. Trainer Alan Greeff looks to have found another nice race for her and she looks ready to score again. She will be taking on some talented sorts and stable companion MISS ORANGE is one of them. It is best to ignore her last run and her previous two wins were full of merit. FIRST STREET is in good heart and could pull off a hat-trick of wins. SEEKING WISDOM is course-and-distance suited.

Verdict

A small field and it will all be on what pace they go at. GLOBAL DRUMMER has been at his best when allowed a soft lead but he may not get that this time with stable companion THE HIGHWAY MAN in the race. Both the Gavin Smith runners have been very effective over this course and distance. KIMBERLEY STAR likes this track and trip and is not out of it. ROCK ALOE would prefer a longer distance but is consistent and has to be considered.

Verdict

A decent field. It is a pity though there is only one raider from the Western Cape. Trainer Alan Greeff has done very well with his two entrants so far. WHATEVER NEXT has improved in each start since a losing debut and shows good fighting qualities so will be right there at the finish. Stable companion SOUND CHECK has already won a race over this course and distance so deserves respect. It is interesting that Snaith racing who beat SOUND CHECK last time out with Miss Honey sends down CAPTAIN'S KNOT to do duty for them. NORTON SOUND and PEACE IN OUR WORLD also have some ability.
