PRINCESS OF WINTER was not disgraced on her local debut but she is well tried and battling to win. She can take home a stake cheque home. CAPE DIAMOND usually shows pace and did well enough on her local debut to have a winning chance. SOLDIERS SONG put up a poor display on local debut but is clearly a lot better than that and is not out of it if he can regain his best form. BUMRAH is holding form and should be right there at the finish once again. RED BISHOP is consistent and has a winning chance. An open looking race. MESMERIZING MOON has been performing well with blinkers recently and can go one better. ENTENTE returns from a lengthy break and has a change of trainer but can win if racing fit. FORWARD MARCH is better drawn this time and an improved run is surely on the cards. HONEY PIE needed her local debut and should show good improvement. ROCK THE KAZVAR was well supported to win his most recent start and showed vast improvement, so may well follow up. SONNY QUINN was caught out of his ground behind his well-backed stable companion winner and should go closer this time from a better draw. Verdict

Another tough race and we may have to load up in the exotics. HOT MARMALADE won her local debut and she may have more to come. ANGEL BOUQUET is unreliable but is quite capable of winning a race like this. CAPULET'S HEART is a recent maiden winner but is proven on this surface and must be considered. OLD GLORY won well on debut but has not been as good since. She shows speed and can attempt to make all. VAL GARDENA has some fair recent form and has a winning chance. SATARA was not far behind last time out in KwaZulu-Natal.

Verdict

PHIL'S POWER is better than his last two starts suggest and from a good draw can recoup losses in a competitive race. ENRIQUE won well on local debut and the step-up in distance should not be a problem, so deserves the utmost respect.
