It took JACK'S LAD 16 starts to break his duck over fences but he won in some style over 2m here last month. That was his first run in 21 months and, with some improvement likely for the outing, he looks the one to be on today. Russellstown Boy won over this trip at Uttoxeter in October but seems to have lost his way, while Wasntme has won twice over fences but his last success was more than two years ago and he needs to improve on recent efforts.

Time To Think and Galant Star have shown enough to be considered here while Here's The Key fell at the first on her chasing bow at Leicester but might be worth giving another chance back over timber. Preference is for the progressive DOYENNE DREAM, placed in three of her four starts over hurdles. She was caught right on the line over 2m at Fakenham last time in a better contest and should be capable of going one better dropped in class today.

Fiftyonefiftyone is clearly going the right way over fences and was unlucky to be brought down at Lingfield latest but he still has something to find to land a race like this and is passed over in favour of BALLYBACH, a more than useful hurdler tackling fences for the first time. His yard has an excellent record over the bigger obstacles and this six-year-old is sure to be well prepared for this. Four Strong Winds has struggled in both starts over fences but looks best of the rest.

Although he's facing his toughest task to date, it's difficult to ignore the claims of the unbeaten GLOBAL POWER. Successful between the flags, in a bumper and a maiden hurdle over C&D, he won with plenty in hand and should be open to further improvement. Carpincho won comfortably over 2m4f at Sedgefield two starts ago but was then beaten equally comprehensively over 2m3f at Catterick. He has claims at his best while Red Mile and Yabora can also be given chances.

LUKIE VICTOR hinted at a return to form when third at Chepstow in November and, although he has not won for well over two years, he is on an attractive mark and this looks very winnable. Loco Grande has not been at his best over larger obstacles of late but he is not without a chance back over hurdles here. Low Delta could also get involved if returning to his best form.

PEVERIL performed with credit behind Grands Crus in a Listed handicap hurdle at Haydock last time and Nicky Henderson's representative is sure to have been extensively schooled in preparation for his chasing debut here. He might be able to get the better of Cannington Brook who sets the standard on chasing form. Galaxy Rock fell on his chasing debut back in October but his best hurdles form would give him a chance.

Owner Occupier has jumping issues over fences but he certainly has the ability to go close back over hurdles today off a mark of 92. Zelos Diktator performed with credit on the Flat last time and he looks a leading player back over hurdles. KADOUCHSKI has been struggling of late but he is beginning to look well handicapped and, if he puts his best foot forward, he could take a hand today.
