RINGA BAY has been combining hunters' chases and point-to-points with devastating effect this year and he sets the standard for the others to aim at here. Behind The Scenes has been in terrific form between the flags of late and he has each-way claims back over regulation fences. Alipne Breeze has a lay-off to overcome but she has major claims on her best hurdles form while Broughton Green and Lead It Well are others to consider.
Ringa Bay let supporters down here last year, but he's done nothing wrong this time around, and can make amends. Alpine Breeze is untried over fences, but is much respected on her hurdles exploits, while Little Legend can get involved if her jumping holds up.

IT WAS ME, a multiple winner between the flags, landed a Towcester hunters' chase in good style last month and a reproduction of that effort would probably make him tough to beat this evening. Macdougal has been running well in point-to-points and he should not be left out of calculations. The same comments also apply to Tenawa. Galbally King also makes some appeal on the pick of his point-to-point form.
It Was Me was easily the most upwardly mobile of this bunch in points and is difficult to oppose after making a seamless transition to regulation fences at Towcester last month. Tenawa and Macdougal could fight it out for the places.

DUSSHERA was performing with credit in hunters' chases prior to winning a point-to-point earlier this month and she could take plenty of beating back over regulation obstacles. Commander Kev comes into this in decent form and there is every reason to expect another good effort from him while the veteran, Durante, might find this trip on the sharp side but it would be unwise to leave him out of calculations.
There was little to chosse between Commander Kev and Dusshera in a C&D hunter in February and the pair stand out here, the former taken to shade the verdict again. Righteous Glory was third in this last year and may repeat the feat if none the worse for a recent slip up in a point.

For all that Swordsman is very consistent in this sphere, his recent good form between the flags is probably not going to be enough to get the better of Arbour Hill and MID DIV AND CREEP. The latter finished a close-up sixth in a competitive event at Cheltenham's hunter chase meeting earlier this month (a race which she won last year) and, with few doubts over her stamina, she sets the standard off a mark of 120 and looks the one to be on.
This marathon trip holds no fears for Mid Div And Creep and he is taken to get back to winning ways under these more suitable conditions after coming unstuck in the mud when attempting a repeat win at Cheltenham recently. Swordsman has been rejuvenated in the pointing field this year and looks the chief threat.

It is very tough to oppose POSTMASTER for Tim Vaughan despite having pulled up in the John Smith's Grand National at Aintree latest. That was no disgrace and the 137-rated gelding should have the beating of these if anything close to the form that saw him score in a similar race at Ludlow over 2m4f two starts ago and a Class 3 handicap chase at Bangor the time before. Start Royal boasts winning course form and is feared most despite having something to find on official figures, while Horner Woods is another interesting contender at a big price.
An obvious chance for Postmaster to bounce back after pulling up in the Grand National last time. Start Royal can follow him home.

DIVINE INTAVENTION has thrived in this sphere since notching at Market Rasen in May last year and, while not disgraced behind the useful My Flora when last sighted at Ludlow, another chance is given faced with what looks a more realistic assignment. The eight-year-old gelding gets 3m well so is expected to bowl along in front over this 2m5f trip but keep a close eye on Polyfast and Lepido, who can both make the frame if allowed to get into a nice rhythm.
Divine Intavention and Mount Sandel look the 2 to concentrate on. Preference is for the first named, who arrives here in form and is a proven force in this sphere.
