COBWEB CATCHER makes his stable debut for Rod Millman and could shed the maiden tag under all-weather supremo Luke Morris. Second over course and distance last time to an ex-stablemate, the two-year-old is sure to be given a positive ride and could prove too strong for Global Goddess, who has performed well on turf the last twice, and Lippy Lady, who faced a tough task at the weights at Wolverhampton last time but still finished a respectable fourth.

UNIVERSAL ORDER did it well at Newcastle on debut last month and given that she is out of a half-sister to Strensall Stakes winner City Style, the two-year-old is expected to have plenty of improvement to come. Ticklish made a winning debut at Lingfield but found a Longchamp conditions race too hot to handle three weeks ago, while newcomer Kheros represents a yard with a good record here and warrants a check in the betting market.

IDEOLOGICAL won well on debut here before narrowly losing out at Newcastle a week ago and perhaps the switch back to Polytrack can see Roger Varian's charge claim a second career success. That form here was franked when the third won next time out and she clearly remains a filly with potential. Sky Defender has a win to his name but needs to bounce back from a poor Catterick run last time, while newcomers Breezing and Robert L'echelle are also noted.

Dashing Poet (second) and Rippling Waters (fourth) bumped into an in-form winner at Bath last time and look closely matched on form, while Zeshov races off an 8lb lower all-weather mark here than on turf and could be competitive from a good draw. Divine Messenger is consistent if nothing else, but the unexposed SAJANJL is improving with every run and could strike here. She did well to finish fourth last time after an awkward start and is bred to improve with time and experience.

Laieth sets the standard having won impressively at Wolverhampton exactly a year ago today but the layoff and 7lb penalty means that the preference is for BALLYQUIN. Andrew Balding's colt also has been off the track for quite a while but he has run this year, when finishing fourth in a strong maiden at Newmarket back in April. The rest do not inspire much confidence at all but Frank Rogers is a newcomer to note.

Gavlar has a good record over this C&D and he arrives here on the same mark that he was successful off here in August. That said, the preference is for DIVIN BERE, who was an impressive winner at Bath a couple of weeks ago and this talented hurdler makes plenty of appeal off just 6lb higher in the ratings. Others to note in a very competitive contest are Carnwennan, Jumping Cats, Seinesational and Special Mission.

DRAMATIC QUEEN clearly failed to handle the heavy ground at Haydock last time out but her previous form in Listed company suggests that she may be underestimated off a mark of 94. Yaa Mous has to be respected following her two recent victories but she will need to take another step forward to rack up the hat-trick this evening. All of the rest have some sort of chance but Welsh Lord is the pick of them.

I'M RUNNING LATE clearly improved for a wind operation having finished a narrow second over C&D last time out. A 2lb rise in the ratings for that effort is fair and he can be supported to go one better this evening. Lily Ash has already had a productive season with three victories and she cannot be discounted today, while similar comments also apply to Howardian Hills.
