The 118-rated SON OF ANARCHY gains marginal preference with his experience over obstacles. Gordon Elliott's charge won a maiden point by 15 lengths before running an encouraging race when fourth in a Punchestown maiden behind The Big Westerner on his hurdling debut. He's been disappointing since, but his recent second inspires more confidence and he can break his duck at the sixth attempt under Rules. Bumper winners Oneinthewell and Moon Eclipse have similar profiles as, after winning at Leopardstown on debut, neither figured in Listed company on their next start. The former has a great amount of potential based on his introduction when beating subsequent winner Eternal Echo. Moon Eclipse showed real promise, despite greenness, when coming from the rear to win on debut, but hasn't really progressed as perhaps expected and her recent hurdling debut offered minor encouragement. Cocovic took his form to a new level on his last start and may improve once more with the hood going back on.
Point winner SON OF ANARCHY has proven a bit frustrating over hurdles but can get off the mark for top connections here. The form of his penultimate effort has been franked emphatically and he proved himself effective on a quicker surface last time. Fellow point winner Cocovic left his previous hurdle form behind last time and could progress again now stepped up in trip. He can provide the main challenge along with the experienced Fast Felix who has some decent handicap form and was unsuited by the drop in trip last time.

REDWOOD QUEEN holds the aces if she returns in the same vein of form after unseating at the last when holding a two-length advantage over Grade 2 winner Beacon Edge at Wexford. She has since joined Cian Collins and has every chance of gaining her seventh success over hurdles. Gordon Elliott's duo seems to be headed by the unexposed Cooke's Lass, who scored on debut with market support behind her at Wexford. She finished second to the 127-rated Toad Hall on her latest start and can improve again. Emily Love has enjoyed a tremendous spell and, on the back of registering her third win in a row, she can continue to prosper, although this may be too competitive. Kilbuny Supersonic bolted up on her hurdling debut and it will be interesting to see how she has progressed from that.
A strong contest where REDWOOD QUEEN may be able to repeat last season's success. She sets the standard on ratings and would've won last time but for a curious unseat late when in front. She should come on for that run and could make her experience tell here. Debut winner Cooke's Lass was only narrowly denied by a useful rival on her follow up attempt and looks the stable first string on jockey bookings. The drop in trip should suit and she can chase the selection home ahead of recent chase winner Belle The Lioness who has proven herself versatile ground wise.

A chance is taken on VINTAGE GOLD, who gained his only success here off 1lb lower. John Murphy, who loves to target this meeting, acquires the services of in-form conditional Eoin Staples for the mount. Blinkers are also put back on and this son of Highland Reel can have a big say if reproducing some of his best form. Give Him A Chance would have to come into the reckoning after his comfortable success in Kilbeggan, although he must contend with a 10lb rise. Corkbeg took a step back in the right direction when fourth at Clonmel and sneaks in at the bottom of the weights 4lb below his last winning mark. Doctor Confusion is of interest on his handicap bow and with a tongue-tie added, while General Clermont looks to expose a lenient hurdles figure.
PARTY PRESIDENT is 2-2 in handicap company and held his form in defeat in a decent novice last time. He looks well treated despite top weight here and can continue his progress on favourable quick ground. General Clermont was poor last time but had been consistent over fences for a long while prior to that so is feared off a much lower mark in this discipline. SHADOW PADDY bids to record a hat-trick off 11lb higher than for his latest success around Limerick. Market support would provide more confidence and he is worth sticking with. Queenofthelodge scored going away at Tipperary and may still have a bit up her sleeve, even after another 8lb rise. Gordon Elliott's trio is headed by the hooded Penny Express and, under Jack Kennedy, any market support would be significant on his second start in handicaps, although he would need to take a step forward. First-time cheekpieces may bring Duke Silver back to some of his earlier handicap form, with Ballycashin another to consider.
BOSTON RAJJ was a cosy 3m winner earlier in the summer and has held his form well over inadequate trips since. Stepping back up in distance he is expected to resume his progress at the expense of Ballycashin who bounced back to form when placed last time. That run was worth marking up as she conceded first run and if building on that she can provide the biggest challenge. SAY IT SO really struck form last year, winning four times (two on the Flat/two over hurdles), including over C&D in October. The Eric McNamara-trained gelding hasn't shown too much since returning on the level, but he still looks nicely treated over timber. Calum Hogan is good value for his 7lb claim and market support would add to confidence. The Banger Doyle is rated significantly lower over hurdles than his chase mark and he had Star Official and Miss Maxfort behind when runner-up in a similar event at Tipperary. Whispering Hopes was still in contention when falling two out on her last hurdle start, while Granpa Ger and Ballyearl are others for the shortlist in an open affair.
THE BANGER DOYLE travelled best when runner up last time finishing ahead of Star Official shaping as if he can win off similar marks in this sphere. He's thrown in on his chase form where his last victory came off a 26lb higher mark than what he races off here. He can account for the unexposed Shaboozee who was allowed to coast home last time having been badly hampered by a faller. He's well treated on his maiden form and is open to further improvement for a top stable. Miss Maxfort has largely been struggling since her maiden win but the handicapper is relenting and she can compete for a place if building on her mildly promising return.

The standard is set by the consistent Galileo Sand who has shaped with promise on all of his starts so far on a decent surface. PALPATATE was ridden by Anna McGuinness when placed on her latest three starts and looks to have been found a decent opportunity to open her account. The selection had both Goodmancon and Texas Red over 10 lengths behind when runner-up up to hot favourite Love Me Tender at Tramore and has probably run to a similar level since at Kilbeggan and Roscommon. Minella Supreme is a half-brother to six winners, including the smart Morning Supreme, and showed promise when third at Bellewstown. The market may give a guide to the relative merits of newcomers Myfavourite Friend and Something Simple.
The consistent PALPATATE has an experience edge on these and should be tough to beat. She has shown a liking for good ground and will be tough to peg back if continuing with positive tactics. Minella Supreme sets the standard on ratings on his debut effort and though that form has had knocks he is open to progress. He can chase the selection home ahead of Texas Red who ran better than the finishing figures suggest when midfield first time out.
