The selection is 10lb above her last winning mark but has performed with credit the last twice and may be capable of a fifth career triumph. Pivotal Rock broke his maiden over 7f here last term but needs to bounce back from some disappointing recent efforts. Cash Or Casualty and Toufan Express are effective on polytrack and have claims if taking to this slower surface.

PARRAMATTA needs to prove her effectiveness on sand but performed with credit on slow turf when second to Blackstairmountain over 1m4f at Bellewstown last month. Jessica Harrington's charge is dropped markedly in trip, but given she's a half-sister to a 7f winner at Kempton, the move may not be as drastic as it first appears on paper. The same cannot be said for some of her rivals, which include winning chasers Ordinary Man and I Hear A Symphony, for whom the trip looks an obvious concern. Edenshaw, third over this trip on soft ground at the Curragh last month, may emerge as the biggest threat.

Edenshaw runs more good races than bad and this could finally be his day. Bon Accord could also play a leading role if revived by the switch to sand, while I Hear A Symphony is fairly useful over jumps and cannot be discounted on this much-belated first try on the Flat.

Romeo's On Fire brings winning C&D form to the table after landing a handicap here last year. Recent efforts temper enthusiasm though and the fact his rating has dropped 20lb over the last year reveals plenty about the direction his career has gone. The safest option appears to be RAISE THE RAFTERS, whose Southwell second over this trip in January offers a strong hint he'll handle today's surface if match fit on his return from a 230-day break. HE'S GOT RHYTHM ran away with a C&D contest off 5lb higher in 2010 and although he's lost a bit of his ability in the last two years, his July victory in a Dundalk claimer and 1m handicap fourth at the same venue last month suggest he is still competitively weighted off his present perch. Solent Ridge looked to be coming back to the boil when third at the Curragh earlier in the month and looks the main danger, ahead of the consistent Maundy Money.

The two C&D winners in the field, Mt Weather and Under Review, need to leave behind all recent form to figure and preference is instead for ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, who went down by just a nose over 7f on good to soft ground at Gowran last time and looks capable of defying a 2lb rise if improving for the slight drop in trip. Carmen Tango was beaten by under a length off 2lb lower at Bath when last sighted and is another handicapped to finish on the premises.
