Richard Hannon's two-year-olds have improved with experience this season, and LOADING is fancied to open his account on the back of a promising debut fifth at Windsor. Rex Bell makes plenty of appeal on paper for John Gosden and is worth close market inspection on his racecourse debut. Little Avon and So Celebre are also worth considering, but Derby entrant Tetradrachm has a pedigree laden with stamina and is one to keep an eye on when stepped up in trip.

ZAZA ZEST doesn't know how to run a bad race and sets a clear standard, so it will be disappointing if she can't take full advantage of this gilt-edged opening. Both of Agadoo's career victories have come at this venue, but given that his success in a seller here last week was over 1m2f, the drop back to this trip isn't sure to suit. Mendacious Harpy is better than she showed last time and Burma Bridge could improve for the fitting of the blinkers, so both are worth a place on the shortlist.

BIRDMAN's ascent up the handicap since joining David O'Meara has been nothing short of remarkable, with five wins and a number of good performances in defeat seeing him rise 35lb. He never landed a blow in the Cambridgeshire but faces a much easier assignment now and looks the one to side with. Hillbilly Boy wasn't beaten far off this mark in the Ayr Silver Cup last month and commands the utmost respect. Ballymore Castle receives weight all round and also enters calculations, along with Accession.

There's no stopping MALJAA at present, and he was perhaps value for more than a neck when successful at Haydock last time. There are only eight runners but no shortage of pace for him to track through, and he is fancied to extend his winning sequence. Rural Celebration has been holding his form well and should give the selection something to think about, while both Dungannon and Demora are dangerously handicapped so shouldn't be overlooked.

ST MICHEL shaped with enough promise on debut at Beverley to suggest he would be opening his account sooner rather than later. His experience can see him prevail over Derby entrant Vincent's Forever, a Pour Moi colt who makes plenty of appeal on paper, though the application of the hood first time up is slightly concerning. Mark Johnston's pair Samaawy and Madinat Jumeirah should be monitored closely in the betting.

This can go the way of BARABAU, who struggled to make much of an impact in four starts in maiden company, but he wouldn't be the first from his yard to improve markedly for the switch to nurseries. Frap didn't get home over 1m2f at Nottingham but can show up better now dropped in trip. Intalza was never happy on the Tapeta last time and is of interest back on turf, while Arranmore Boy is also noted for each-way purposes.

The application of the first-time blinkers and drop back in trip can do the trick for SWEET SELECTION, who has been short of her best over further the last twice. Best Boy continues to give a good account of himself and has a race in him off this sort of mark, so he is feared most. Liberty Sky needs to put a disappointing effort behind her but is worth close consideration, along with Minstrel Lad and King Of Paradise.

FAVORITE GIRL returns to the level after a 374-day hiatus, but she has been in terrific heart over hurdles in the interim and ought to make a bold bid off a fair mark. Sur Empire isn't opposed lightly, particularly with the step up to this trip expected to suit. Ttainted Love took a step back in the right direction when runner-up at Wolverhampton and can play a part, but Interconnection and Hickster appeal more for each-way purposes.
