RIGIDITY made a pleasing start to his hurdling career when scoring over this trip in impressive fashion at Gowran last month and is taken to follow up in what looks a weaker contest. Apache Drums looks the one that can give the selection most to think about having scored at Navan and there was no shame in finishing third behind the well regarded Louisville Lip at Thurles when last sighted. Knockcroghery's improvement appears to have stalled but she may have been rejuvenated by a break and is also considered.

SHIFA remains a maiden after two runs over timber but she has been performing with credit in defeat and is taken to open her account in this sphere now granted a longer trip. Brookville ran her best race to date at Navan in a handicap last time but it would be a surprise if the selection couldn't improve beyond her and a runner up berth looks likely. Justfour has winning form between the flags and makes each-way appeal on her first race under Rules. Sugar Bullet is another to consider now stepping back up in trip.

HARPSY CORD was run out of second place close home at Punchestown when last sighted and shapes as if worth a try at this shorter trip, despite the fact he already has a 3m win to his name between the flags. Shannon Spirit sets a similar form standard to the selection based on his Thurles second last time and shouldn't go down without a fight. I'lltelimar King ran credibly on his hurdling debut at Navan last time out and it would be no surprise to see him finish in the shake up with further improvement anticipated.

TADHG looks competitively weighted and it should only be a matter of time until he gets his head back infront after two credible thirds in handicaps the last twice. Lucky Spring has work to do with the selection on their Thurles running from January but ran well at Gowran over this trip last time and can give the selection plenty to think about while in good heart. Ferry Point has plenty of experience in this sphere and is more than capable of getting involved if putting her best foot forward.

In a wide-open contest, it should pay to stick with TURNONTHEGAS, a clever winner over 2m 6f at Punchestown last time out. He only got up by a length and carries another 7lb now but the penny seems to have dropped for John Carr's gelding and there could be more to come. Mr Pernickety seems on an upward curve and should be thereabouts while Whiskey Hall is reasonably weighted on his Clonmel win and has claims if recapturing that form.

It might pay to side with BOLD PRESENT again following his comfortable success over 2m 4f at Navan last month. It has taken the eight-year-old some time to break his duck but he won well enough last time to suggest he can defy a 7lb rise in the weights, especially as this extra furlong should suit. Eddie Zero got up close home to score over 2m 2f at Downpatrick and, with further improvement expected, could be capable of going close again along with Givemeabuzz who scored at Tramore three starts ago but has plenty of weight now.

Gordon Elliott has a fine strike-rate in these contests and can have another winner here with ERINS STAGE. A winner between the flags last month, this well-related mare should open her account first-time out under Rules. Whatwillwecallher was a very easy winner over 2m in the mud here latest and looks the obvious danger while Jacksonslady and newcomer Cuteasafox are not without chances.
