GUITAR PETE got the better of Clarcam in the closing stages of the Grade 1 juvenile event at Aintree and though he followed that up with defeat at Punchestown, it could just have been that was one race too many for the Triumph Hurdle third. Dessie Hughes' grey is taken to confirm form with Clarcam and also get the better of Aidan O'Brien's Plinth, who was found wanting behind Rebel Fitz last week but had earlier beaten The Plan Man at Cork.

HASH BROWN made it two wins from his last three starts when scoring at Listowel and Michael Hourigan's gelding could have been been found another ideal opportunity. Sang Tiger won nicely enough at Navan but has 10lb to find with the selection on official figures, while Draycott Place, who ran a solid second over fences last time, is another not well treated by the conditions of the race if the assessor has got it right.

Plenty of these come into the race with winning form, but perhaps the most impressive was THE BOLD BECKEY, who looked to have a fair bit up her sleeve when successful at Tramore on Thursday and a 6lb penalty may not be enough to stop her. Johnston's Best is up 6lb for a less emphatic success at Ballinrobe, while Solita and Padraig's Joy both make their handicap debuts after scoring last time out.

Buster Dan Dan ran a cracker to be second off 4lb lower at Listowel and may not be inconvenienced by top weight, but this can go to SIR HARRY CASH. The eight-year-old won over two miles here off this mark back in March and though results since have been poor, the booking of Ruby Walsh for this suggests Eric McNamara has complete faith in him back off this rating. Jamesmicheal won a maiden hurdle at Roscommon and could also be feasibly treated to challenge.

A fiendishly tight race with all four holding claims. Seefood gets weight from his three rivals and could hardly have won more easily at Ballinrobe, but it might be worth taking him on with BURN AND TURN. Jessica Harrington's mare was a fair third behind Sizing Europe and Road To Riches in a Gowran Grade 2 recently and will benefit from this drop in grade. Sizing Italy won well at Listowel and is not easily dismissed, nor is Pass The Hat, who was a good second in the Kerry National.

Shanpallas went down fighting in the Kerry National and is likely to have his supporters again, while Golden Wonder was a fair second over timber last month which should have perked him up. Noel Meade appears to hold the best hand, though, and the booking of Ruby Walsh to ride Bose Ikard suggests the handler retains the faith in his Clonmel second. However, Paul Carberry rides TOM HORN and he gets the vote. The eight-year-old bounced back to form with an effortless win at Sligo latest and could still be handicapped to score.

Mister Hotelier has chasing experience on his side but AERLITE SUPREME was a more accomplished hurdler and he is fancied to make his fencing debut a winning one. He was still in contention in a good hurdle contest last time before a shuddering mistake at the second-last cost him valuable momentum. His trainer has always seen him as a chaser and he is expected to improve further now tackling the larger obstacles. Federici can't be entirely ruled out, although he will have to up his game to challenge the aforementioned duo.
