Tulsa Jack is sure to be popular granted his high-profile connections and although he has been slightly disappointing the last twice, he has still shown strong enough form to be a prime contender in this modest contest. He now steps up to 2m4f for the first time. By contrast, JIMMY SHAN, a winning pointer, shaped well on debut under Rules when third to Icy Reply over 3m at Cork, giving the impression that this drop in trip would prove beneficial. Jerusalem Bells showed a glimmer of promise over this trip last time and could reward each-way support.

Elsie is proving progressive for Thomas Mullins, sets a good standard and should be able to take care of BEACH OF FALESA on official ratings, however, Aidan O'Brien's mare created a really good impression when scooting away on the run-in to score at Wexford last time out and seems likely to appreciate this first venture over 2m4f. A smooth traveller with a nice turn of foot on her day, she's taken to land back-to-back successes. Fourni impressed when landing a Punchestown hurdle in May and has shaped pleasingly on three subsequent Flat outings. She's a threat to all.

Res Ipsa Loquitur carries a 6lb penalty for a cosy Ballinrobe victory three day ago, negated by the claim of Andrew Ring who's partnered the mare previously. She's clearly in good heart and another prominent showing should be forthcoming. However, SUPREME VIC has stronger claims, especially if his penultimate run (ran as if something amiss) is forgiven as his runner-up efforts on either side of that disappointment read well in the context of this contest. Only just denied at Ballinrobe two days ago, he can go one better. Pleased As Punch and Island Villa are also respected.

Authinger has considerable chasing experience, including a victory in a beginners chase at Down Royal in the spring. However, he failed to sparkle last time over fences when a well-beaten favourite at the same venue and it'll be interesting to see how Tony Martin's gelding fares this evening. DEVILS BRIDE has always looked a chaser in the making and impressed on his fencing debut at Roscommon, when always controlling matters, and can follow up on what is just his sixth career start. Our Ned made a pleasing translation from the pointing arena when scoring here on his chasing debut and also looks a lively threat.

Stoney shaped well on his first two chase outings but has failed to build on that initial promise in three subsequent runs, while it will be fascinating to see if Andiamos can improve on a career record of 0-19 now turned to fences, since those are strange figures indeed for an inmate of the Willie Mullins yard. Enjoy Responsibly's form over timber revealed promise and he should improve as a chaser for Henry De Bromhead but, in what appears to be a tricky affair, OLD CASTLETOWN arguably harbours more potential than his rivals after just a handful of starts and is the hopeful choice.

Lord Of Isenay, immediately returned to hurdles after falling on his chasing debut, should go well if repeating the level of his best form of last season but it's hard to look beyond the hat-trick-seeking TOP CHIEF with Nina Carberry booked. The Doyen gelding followed up victory in a modest Perth seller with a convincing success in a better handicap hurdle at Kilbeggan recently and looks to have been rejuvenated by the move to Gordon Elliott. Desert Roe looks the strongest threat after landing minor money the last twice, with Bonifacio also respected as an each-way option.

A number of these have displayed sufficient promise to suggest an ordinary bumper is well within their grasp. Much will depend on the respective levels of improvement made but THATS NICE has improved with each outing and was only reeled in late on at Roscommon last time. He's likely to race prominently and is taken to fend off the likes of Xpectations and Sheamus, both of whom shaped with distinct promise on their respective debuts. Captain Carleton and Pace And Passion are also noteworthy in a contest where the market could provide a useful signpost.
