Willie Mullins has been in cracking form over the Christmas period and it will be disappointing if he doesn't land the opener with COQUIN MANS. Sporting the colours of the legendary Hurricane Fly, this Fragrant Mix gelding comfortably won his sole start in France in a Paray-le-monial bumper and he appears to have been found the perfect opening for his Irish/hurdling debut. Nanny Stone rates the biggest threat following her runner-up finish behind the useful Sutton Manor while Calin Des Ongrais also has place credentials.

DICOSIMO was the best of these over hurdles and has always given the impression that he would improve when faced with a fence. Today is the day he embarks on his chasing career and he is very much the one to beat. Former stablemate Stone Hard certainly wasn't disgraced on his chasing debut at Punchestown last month and he is entitled to improve for that first start since April, while Hurry Henry can better his 30-length defeat at the hands of the high-class Yorkhill.

AS DE PIQUE has been in excellent form compared to the majority of these and should have no issue with the drop in distance on testing ground in the weakest contest he has faced for a while. Golden Plan could improve now in handicap company over fences for the first time, while Letter Of Credit drops down in class having ran respectably behind Champagne Fever at Thurles last month.

GUNNERY SERGEANT looked badly in need of the run at Fairyhouse earlier this month and a first-time hood combined with a drop in trip should see him in a better light. Willie Mullins has been in scintillating form over the festive period and Kate Appleby Shoes will be popular in the betting now chasing a hat-trick, while Island Remede remains open to improvement after just three starts under Rules. The Green Lady looks badly in need of a switch to handicap company.

Allblak Des Places was disappointing on St Stephen's Day and will need to bounce back if taking his chance here, while Swamp Fox has some ground to make up on MISSY TATA and the form of that contest could be worth following. Tuesday's Grade One runner-up Brelade would be interesting if turning up here. Cap D'aubois has his sights lowered now and has to be respected for such powerful connections.

SUPREME STEEL posted a career best effort when last seen at Tramore behind a fairly handicapped sort in Sea Scorpion and the addition of first-time cheekpeices along with Cillin Leonard's 7lb claim makes him look an attractive proposition. Returntovendor has been knocking on the door recently and has solid claims again, while Graphic Legacy is entitled to improve on handicap debut in first-time blinkers.

JUDGEMENT DAY was a 145,000 purchase by Willie Mullins for Gigginstown at the Aintree sale in April after winning his point in March but has since moved to Henry De Bromhead and the son of Martaline is taken to make a winning debut. Pershing Missile is a half-brother to The Paparrazi Kid and has to merit consideration on his debut for respected connections, while the booking of Jamie Codd for Mickey Flanagan could well be a positive sign.
