Zach's Harmoney and Hessian could well get involved and a better effort last time by Six of Hearts gives him a squeak but the narrow vote goes to OUR HERBIE. He has not only been running well recently but has some solid form to offer at this level. At Salisbury last time a less troubled passage may have seen him closer than his eventual third and today, with the able Patrick Hills taking off 5lbs, he is sure to be in at the shake-up.

Windy Prospect has been in good form lately albeit mostly in sellers and in a race that appears to have very little strength in depth, he could figure. Hallings Overture was slightly unlucky when failing to get in a telling blow after not getting the best of passages last time but the manner in which PELHAM CRESCENT bounded clear of his stablemate at Wolverhampton was noteworthy. That win came after he had been steadily improving throughout the year. He is clearly on top of his game right now and could follow-up here.

Bellomi came up against the well-regarded Oasis Wind on his debut and was not disgraced in second-place. He should go well but MAJOR WILLY also took the runner-up spot on his last run against decent sorts over 6f at Newmarket. Normal improvement should see him open his account in this company.

Jayanjay's win at Brighton was squeezed in between some moderate efforts but today's trip over the 6f will play to the strengths of Tamino who found 7f just a shade too far last time at Yarmouth. Cativo Cavallino struggled off today's mark after winning three in row and could do so again, but the evergreen Goodenough Mover can be relied upon to run his race. However, a sporting chance is taken with NORCROFT as he is going well at the moment and today's young pilot posted a win on her last term. The combination can score again here.

The recent form of What-A-Dancer does not give rise to much encouragement and the recent efforts of Tequila Sheila do not hold out much hope that better is just around the corner. In a race dominated by low grade performers, Stagnite comes into calculations being a solid enough sort at this level, but the tentative pick goes to PRINCE DAYJUR. He boasts by far the highest official rating under title chasing Seb Sanders and the 8-y-o gelding looks capable of taking this if at his best.

Hope Your Safe needs to find a bit more to be a serious player in this, as does Lady Duxyana who remains a maiden after 26 starts. Another maiden, Rubilini, has something to find with the top weight HANSOMELLE on previous running here and the latter looks the one to beat. She scored over course and distance in July and was unlucky not to win again last time, when not getting clear until the race was over. She can return to winning ways at a track where she thrives.
