CHEVISE makes her first start for a George Baker stable that appears to be going places and looks the one to beat. Twice a winner on this surface when trained by Ralph Beckett last year, the Holy Roman Emperor filly was last seen winning over this trip back in October and looks to type to win more races for new connections. Plausible opposition would appear thin on the ground although Upton Flyer and Welsh Inlet warrant respect eased in grade.
There is a slight doubt regarding the lack of a tongue tie on Chevise, as she seemed to be helped by the aid when winning twice in the autumn, but she stands out on form and is difficult to oppose. Welsh Inlet makes by far the most appeal of the others.

With the Richard Fahey stable going great guns at present, Emerald Girl seems sure to prove popular while Kipchak was bitterly disappointing when a long way of adrift of the reopposing Silver Guest over a mile here three weeks ago and both are capable of figuring today. The latter was making his first start since July so could improve further with the likes of Fivefold and I Confess not ruled out in an open event. However, a chance is taken on HINTON ADMIRAL who has been in really good form in handicap company of late and should appreciate this ease in grade.
Hinton Admiral went close on his first start for Jane Chapple-Hyam, and is weighted to go one better in this claimer. There is nothing to choose between Fivefold and I Confess on recent C&D running and they can fight out the minor honours.

AQUILIFER looked some way ahead of assessor the when winning easily over a mile here eight days ago, his second successive success, and should prove hard to beat under a 6lb penalty. The drop to 7f may not prove ideal but this looks a good opportunity for him to win again before the handicapper has his say. Roman Strait was a shade disappointing here last time but his previous C&D success marked him down as one to follow and he could have more to offer still with the lightly-raced Monadreen Dancer and Kassaab making most appeal of the remainder.
Aquilifer must be the choice on current form, thriving as he is, but an eye must be kept on the market regarding Govenor General and Brandy Alexander, who represent powerful yards and may be significantly better than they showed last year.

Goddess Of Light is starting to prove frustrating having flopped when a well backed favourite at Wolverhampton last week but her previous second to Dreamacha giver her obvious claims. The return to the polytrack surface should suit Fantasy Fighter but he is drawn out wide and ABSA LUTTE gets the vote. In good form of late, her recent third to the classy Stratton Banker at Kempton reads very well and gives her stand out claims here. A return to form could see Chjimes figure and he completes the shortlist.
Fantasy Fighter is likely to be all the better for his first run in 3 months a fortnight ago and can gain a third C&D success. Desert Icon, Prize Point and Absa Lutte are others that come into the reckoning.

Following four consecutive runner-up finishes at Southwell, YOUR GIFTED relished the return to the polytrack surface when scoring over C&D (Ten Down fifth) last week and, as this certainly doesn't look any tougher, a 6lb penalty may not be enough to prevent her completing the double. Black Baccara, beaten a neck in each of her last two starts, looks sure to ask a few questions while Wanchai Whisper has slipped to a feasible mark and handicap debutante Mosa Mine doesn't look harshly treated by an initial mark of 58.
Your Gifted ran out a comfortable winner on her first visit to Lingfield last week and is worth sticking with. Black Baccara and Triskaidekaphobia could be the ones to chase her home.

Rylee Mooch has been running well in defeat but the handicapper appears to just have his measure at present and the slight preference is for QUADRA HOP. The selection improved to finish a three-length third on his polytrack/fibresand debut in a race won by Mini Bon Bon recently, is 6lb better off with the winner this afternoon and has been handed a plum draw on the rails for his polytrack return. Lisselton Cross drops back down in grade and in the handicap so warrants respect, as does Fairy Tales.
With recent form in short supply, last-time-out winner Mini Bon Bon has to be respected, but she is passed over in favour of the well-handicapped Lisselton Cross. Rylee Mooch should also be thereabouts.

The well bred Ilissos was too green to do himself justice on his debut over 1m at Kempton but it would be no surprise to see him take much closer order today with that initial experience under his belt. The John Gosden-trained Songjiang showed signs of ability when third over 7f at Southwell first time out while his stablemate, Manifestation, suffered traffic problems when sixth over C&D on debut and is better than that finishing position suggests. However, it could pay to take a chance on LOYAL N TRUSTED, who shaped with promise when beaten six lengths into fourth over 7f here recently and is bred to relish this sterner test of stamina.
Manifestation is presumably the pick of John Gosden's pair, and the market should offer further clues, but Ilissos, representing a yard in excellent heart, can prove the answer having contested a stronger contest on his debut.
