FAME N FORTUNE returned from over a year off the track to score over C&D a fortnight ago, when benefiting from the application of a visor, and he warrants the utmost respect with William Buick taking over in the saddle. Agent Of Fortune has been dropped 3lb since her most recent course outing and the step back up in distance may yield some improvement, while Narjes and Gonna Dancealot appear best of the remainder.

Mariance has been mixing in good company this year and she is a big player on the pick of her form, but preference is for SHE'S A LION, who stepped forward from her debut when second at Catterick and that performance suggested there was more to come from Mark Johnston's filly. Vanitas and Eaux De Vie can fight it out for the minor honours.

NIKULINA displayed signs of greenness when only beating one rival home at Goodwood on her debut last month but Clive Cox's filly is entitled to have learnt plenty from the experience and may put it to good use on this occasion. The main threats appear likely to be Allegranza, a homebred newcomer who may be sharper than some of her relatives being a daughter of Bobby's Kitten, and Carryonregardless with William Buick taking the ride in his bid to land the jockeys' championship.

OH THIS IS US appreciated the return to 7f when successful at Chelmsford last month and the mount of Ryan Moore could have more to come off a 4lb higher mark, having won at this venue in the past. Stablemates War Glory and Magical Wish are both course-and-distance winners and warrant plenty of respect, while Ghalyoon ran far too free when a beaten favourite at Doncaster last time, but did well to still make the podium and only go down by less than a length.

1000 Guineas runner-up CLOAK OF SPIRITS has already tasted success at this level, on her penultimate outing, and having performed with real credit when third in the Group 1 Sun Chariot Stakes last time, she rates as the one to beat here. Lavender's Blue was disappointing in that Newmarket contest earlier this month but her form before that entitles her to respect here, while Soffika has only been seen the once this season when seventh in the Sandringham Stakes but is lightly raced and could be an improver.

JACINTH was a beaten favourite at Chelmsford earlier this month, running freely when having to settle for a silver medal. However, her form before that when placing behind the Group 1-winning Alcohol Free and the talented, but ill-fated, Fly Miss Helen marks her out as the one to beat here. Saeed Bin Suroor saddles both Al Watan and Invincible Spirit colt Perfect Balance, both of whom require a market inspection, while Fast Steps and Tadreeb are other newcomers to consider from top yards.

Aidan O'Brien won this contest last year and relies on Elizabethofaragon this time, though she is far from one of the stars of the Ballydoyle team and probably needs to find slight improvement to challenge. Domino Darling has proved disappointing in two starts this season and connections will hope that a big step up in distance sparks some kind of revival. Indefatigable makes her first start of the season after success in the Martin Pipe at Cheltenham in March, but this can go the way of Sir Michael Stoute's SORREL. The Dansili filly is improving with every start and left a lasting impression in victory at Doncaster last month.

Come On Girl lost ground at the start when fourth at Kempton earlier this month and might benefit from this step up in distance for Mick Appleby. Valentine Blues outran 100-1 odds to finish fourth at Chelmsford a fortnight ago under this rider and the switch to handicap company off a fair opening mark is fancied to suit. That being said, JACK RYAN was impressive in victory at Yarmouth last week. The three-year-old is only 4lb higher now and further success could be on the cards.
