The suggestion is PEARL WARRIOR, who ran a very promising race when third over C&D last month, which gave the impression that he is finding his way in this discipline. A smart performer on the Flat for Johnny Murtagh, the five-year-old could easily be thrown in off a mark of 108 on his handicap debut. George Bancroft was put in his place at Ffos Las on his most recent outing but having won his three previous outings under both codes, he is certainly capable of having a say, along with Lleyton.

Olly Murphy has had some smart juveniles win first time out this season, but TEASE AND SEIZE must be right up there after a silky display at Ludlow last month. The son of Motivator can take the 7lb penalty in his stride here and continue his progression, with fellow last-time-out winner Monjules looking best placed to chase him home. Glide Down was a decent performer on the level for Alan King and he is respected on his hurdles bow as well as Liberated Lad, who was last seen winning at Kempton on the all-weather.

LOUNGE LIZARD may have been beaten a long way on his hurdles debut at Aintree, but the form of that race has worked out a treat with the third and the eighth going in since, as well as the winner placing in Grade 2 company. Before that, Henry Daly's charge had run the smart Mr Glass close at Haydock, form which stands out in the context of this novice hurdle. Foxinthebox may not be the most straightforward but he certainly has the ability if putting it all together, while Adjournment and Fortunate Fred are others that are likely to figure.

NEWBERRY NEW was last seen finishing second at Leicester in March and the nine-year-old, who remains on the same mark on this occasion, makes plenty of appeal on his return to action. Nocte Volatus is capable of improvement on his chasing debut as he sports a tongue-tie for the first time, while the consistent Begoodtoyourself is likely to be in the mix once again.

DUBAI GUEST won in great style at Fakenham last month on his third start over fences and Olly Murphy's gelding could have more to offer despite going up 8lb for that victory. Felton Bellevue finished second on his chasing debut at Hereford and is open to improvement following that display, while Miraculous Getaway's recent third here gives him every chance of being competitive.

Malinas Island commands respect after his latest victory at Lingfield and he could be open to further improvement at staying trips. However, preference is for MISSCARLETT, who showed a determined attitude to hold off her rivals when scoring by a length over this C&D last month. The seven-year-old mare has been given a workable 3lb rise for that success and she can defy her new mark in this contest. Seapoint is another to consider if sharper for her recent return from a break at Sedgefield.

CHIANTI CLASSICO ran well for a long way until he was caught late on when finishing second in a warm affair at Ascot on his debut under Rules. This looks to be an easier assignment and the son of Shantou gets the nod to build on that experience here. Forget The Way comes from a family Alan King knows well and he is one to note for any market support on his racecourse debut, while Festive Glory, High Yield and Sporty Jim also make the shortlist in what could be an informative bumper.
