Sound Skin was beaten a neck in a 2m4f novice hurdle at Worcester when last seen back in June. A repeat effort here gives him a chance. Rare Coincidence was a five time winner on the level and has shown signs of ability without reward over hurdles. He is one for the short-list, but this can fall to ROMAN CANDLE. Winner of two of his last four races, he has the ability to defy a 5lb rise this afternoon.

AMICELLI has been in excellent form so far over hurdles this season and can notch another win here in the hands of Richard Johnson. Common Girl landed back-to-back victories at Fakenham back in May before running a little below par at Wetherby. She will strip fitter here following a decent break. Toni Alcala has scored seven times on the level and is a surefire future winner over hurdles.

Beaugency has winning form over both hurdles and fences. Disappointing when odds-on for a 2m5f hurdle event last time, a much better performance can be expected here. INFINI secured a fourth career win over fences when scoring over 3m2f at Cartmel. Raised 7lb for that, he can take it in his stride. Seaniethesmuggler is useful on his day and represents excellent each-way value.

Goss was ridden out by today's pilot to score over 2m1f on good to firm ground at Newton Abbot last time. In Good Heart, a bold bid can be expected here. KINGKOHLER deserved his recent victory over 2m1f at Bangor and can improve further to defy the handicapper. Ela Re justified favouritism in a seller at Southwell last time. He will attract plenty of support, having his first run for the Sue Smith yard.

Thedublinpublican created a favourable impression when scoring on his debut over hurdles at Uttoxeter last month, staying on really well over the 2m4f. A repeat effort will take him close, but he may have to play second fiddle to SQUARE MILE. Jonjo O'Neill's gelding was not hard pushed to win both of his races in NH flat events and he can make his debut over hurdles a winning one. My Skipper is the pick of the remainder.

6

16:55 Market Rasen (Class F) (5YO plus)

Katie Louise Brewin Memorial Handicap Chase

REVERSE SWING is little better than a plater over hurdles, but this bunch are only moderate and Heather Dalton's mare could be good enough to lower their colours on her first start over fences. Mikasa won over the larger obstacles at Cartmel in May and is not without a chance, while College City looks back in his correct grade and may take a hand in the finish.

7

17:25 Market Rasen (Class H) (4YO to 6YO)

SPIRIT OF NEW YORK won what has turned out to be a useful bumper at Newbury in March last year, but hasn't been seen since. However, it's worth taking a chance that Jonjo O'Neill has his son of Topanoora fit and well for his reappearance. Dancing Partner won his racecourse debut at Uttoxeter in good style and must be considered, Schumann and Rising Tempest should be monitored for any support in the betting.
