MOON TRIP loved extended distances on the Flat and a campaign over timber looks the natural progression. John Ferguson has a more than healthy strike-rate at this track and this son of Cape Cross is fancied to make a winning National Hunt debut. The two main dangers look to be Qoubilai, who could enjoy this drop back in trip, and Pasture Bay, who was running well before having a break.

LETSBY AVENUE was a comfortable 23-length winner last time and that form has been franked by the third placed horse winning twice since. The 7lb penalty he carries shouldn't be a significant hindrance and a bold show is expected. Rob Conti has been chasing and may still be slightly unexposed over hurdles and Emily's Flyer won a novice hurdle under this conditional jockey in April and completes the shortlist.

Jonjo O'Neill won this race three years ago and looks to have a live contender in CALYPSO BAY. The son of Galileo is a C&D winner and looked back to his best on his two starts this summer, winning at Fontwell and finishing second at Worcester. The step up should suit and he is a leading fancy. Sycho Fred is proven at the distance and Pyracantha bumped into a progressive rival last time.

BRIGHT ABBEY was third at Newton Abbott last time but conditions here look more suitable and he appears to be a horse with improvement still to come. Another with a decent chance is Renoyr, who perhaps prefers a bit of cut in the ground, while Violets Boy has dropped 3lb since his last run which leaves him on a potentially competitive mark.

General Miller appeared to appreciate positive front-running tactics when winning here last month and he has a great chance if replicating that run. However, he may not get a straightforward lead and it might be worth siding with FRENCH TIES, who ran a great race in third last time and has dropped to a handy mark. Dark Energy completes the shortlist as he loves it round here as proved by his last victory.

A very competitive handicap in which GREEN BANK is fancied to succeed following his 25-length chase victory last time. Milans Well is another returning to timber following some good chase form and he looks a big player along with Electric Tiger, who met a well-handicapped rival last time. Saddlers Mot was promising in second last time and Jewel In The Sun may have found conditions too quick on his last outing.

OLIVER'S GOLD chalked up his first hurdle success last time. Previously campaigned on the Flat, this son of Danehill Dancer can immediately find some form over timber for this new yard with a follow-up success. Daliance is lightly raced and could be a contender, whilst Claude Carter appears to save his best for Market Rasen (won this race two years ago) and might have an outside squeak.
