Verdict

GOLLINGER has been in good form since making his seasonal reappearance in May and has finished in the frame in all outings. He looks sure to mount a bold bid this afternoon. Not Today Sir was disappointing in a more competitive field on his latest start but it would be no surprise to see him involved in the shake-up now dropped in grade. Time Marches On has a good record over hurdles and a recent outing on the Flat should have got him spot on for this.

Verdict

ALLEZ FRANK was a multiple winner on the Flat in Europe and has made a promising start to his jumping career, finishing second on both starts. He ran a solid race when beaten by a useful sort at Towcester last time out and could prove difficult to beat today. Past course and distance winner Wilhewispa finished a close third on his latest outing around here and is clearly going the right way. Country Affair has performed with credit on his two starts over hurdles and could make the frame.

The hat-trick seeking BROWNEYES BLUE enters this race in cracking form after beating a useful sort at Cartmel last time out (that horse has won since). He is clearly in good heart at present and could take some stopping in this contest. David Pipe's Sabre Hongrois looks a progressive individual and after a comfortable win at Newton Abbot on his latest outing looks sure to figure. Verdict

SCOTLAND YARD comes into this race in great form after winning at Wincanton on his latest start over hurdles. He struggled in a competitive heat on the Flat at Ascot last time out but looks the one that they all have to beat on his return to obstacles. La Grande Villez was beaten by a short margin at Newton Abbot on her latest outing and is a fairly consistent performer who should go close. Verdict

HERO AGAIN enters this race in top-form after deservedly getting his head in front at Worcester last time. The second horse has since gone on to frank the form and he could prove difficult to beat here with the assistance of the champion jockey. Tickateal has shown significant improvement since tackling the larger obstacles and looks set to run another solid race. Handy Money unseated his rider on his latest start here but is certainly no forlorn hope on his best form.

Verdict

MILLARDS LAD showed significant improvement from his hurdles form when dotting up on his chasing debut at Newton Abbot last time out. He won with a lot in hand that day and looks sure to go close in his bid to follow-up. Blue Sovereign loves a real test of stamina and got off the mark when winning comfortably at Uttoxeter on his latest outing. He does not look the easiest of rides but could go close in his current mood. Read All About It won easily last time and is in with a squeak.
