BORDONI would probably have won at Ludlow last time had he not run out at the second last flight of hurdles but he at least appears to have a decent opportunity to gain compensation today. Somemothersdohavem is fit from the all-weather and he is interesting on his hurdling debut. Bountiful Catch, Our Phylli Vera and King Arthur have all shown some promise over hurdles and they are all worthy of consideration.

UP TO SOMETHING finished runner-up to Puffin Billy in a Grade 2 contest over 2m at Ascot last time and with this longer trip no problem, he looks sure to take plenty of beating here. Population could not live with My Tent Or Yours at Huntingdon last month but that was still a solid effort and he rates the most likely danger to the selection. Barney Cool, Liberty Court and Wake Your Dreams can also figure.

MEGASTAR demonstrated his well being with a win on the flat last month and a sound effort when third to Sam Winner in a 'Jumpers Bumper' at Kempton. He might be able to record his first victory over larger obstacles this afternoon. Avoca Promise was not disgraced behind Module on his chasing debut at Newbury and he commands respect along with Gallox Bridge, who makes plenty of appeal on his chasing debut.

Winds And Waves has claims despite a 10lb rise for his Huntingdon success last month and Ballymoat commands respect following his improved display at Catterick last time. Beckhani commands the utmost respect on his handicap debut but so too does MILAN ROYALE. Malcolm Jefferson's representative has hardly set the world alight in three starts in novice company but an opening handicap mark of 93 could well be within his capabilities.

15:30 Market Rasen (Class 4) (5YO plus)

Eric And Lucy Papworth Handicap Chase (jockey Club Grassroots Series Qualifier)

The Magic Bishop should run his race and be on the premises once more, while Galway Jack is also entitled to be thereabouts. O'Crotaigh likes it here and is back on a fair mark so is worth a second look but preference is for BALINROAB. Jonjo O'Neill's representative is unexposed and any improvement on his Newbury handicap debut third last time would give him a big chance this afternoon.

16:00 Market Rasen (Class 6) (5YO plus)

Cga Foxhunter Trial Maiden Hunters' Chase

3m 1f

Alfoisin has been in fine form between the flags and he looks a likely contender on his hunters' chase debut this afternoon. However, slight preference is for FRENCH CANADIAN. He has progressed in leaps and bounds in the point-to-point sphere and could prove a tough nut to crack on his first run under NH rules today. Current Exchange should also be capable of making his presence felt.

7

16:30 Market Rasen (Class 6) (4YO to 6YO)

HELLORBOSTON ran out a most impressive winner on his NH debut in a Sedgefield bumper on Boxing Day and he looks sure to take plenty of beating again this afternoon. Even If got his career off to the best possible start at Bangor and with improvement likely, he must also be respected. Ballygrooby Bertie makes some appeal on pedigree and he is worth a precautionary market check on debut.
