Verdict

UNITED SPIRIT has been well beaten in handicaps since landing two novice events last autumn and should find this a much easier task on her first start in selling company. Alpha Juliet's latest effort on the level should have blown the cobwebs away and she warrants respect back in this grade, while Cash Return has sound claims if reproducing the effort that saw her finish runner-up over C&D last year.

Verdict

MONSIEUR DELAGE put in a fine performance when runner-up here on his seasonal reappearance. He shaped as though this step up in trip will suit and he could prove a tough nut to crack if in the mood. Present Orientated was behind the selection on that occasion but arrives in much better form. He appears the biggest threat, while Peter Bowen's string have been in rude health all summer and Barfleur has to be respected.

Verdict

Sakenos benefited for the first-time tongue-tie when recording his second success over timber at Uttoxeter last month. Another solid performance is expected today but he has to defy a double penalty making this a tough task. GREEN FINGER has won three times over fences, including over this trip here two weeks ago. He is fancied to land the spoils back over hurdles, while Shamrock Bay has put in some fine performances on the level of late and is respected.

Verdict

Peter Bowen has a formidable strike-rate here and is represented by IRISH WOLF in this event. He ran a respectable race when third behind Rare Coincidence over C&D in April and appears the one they have to beat in this weaker event. Verdict

CORRIB DRIFT is clearly an improving sort and landed his second successive victory over fences over this trip at Stratford three weeks ago. He has gone up a total of 19lb for his two victories but may well still be ahead of the handicapper. Tommy Spar has gone up 14lb for his Uttoxeter victory and may struggle, while Cobbet has proved a consistent performer of late and appears the main threat.
