DOMPERIGNON DU LYS looked to have a very bright future when he easily accounted for a subsequent dual winner at Newcastle in November and he was dropped into the deep ended when fourth to the likes of Defi Du Seuil and Coeur De Lion at Cheltenham the following month. I See You Well has improved with every start and he outran odds of 25-1 to win at Naas 10 days ago and he seems to be the main threat to the selection. Cry Wolf would be the pick of the remainder but he has plenty to find to beat the aforementioned pair.

Watch out for: I See You Well (2)

DOMPERIGNON DU LYS was a little underwhelming at Cheltenham last time but, if returning to the form of his impressive hurdling debut success at Newcastle, he'll be a tough nut to crack. I See You Well is the selection's chief concern on the back of his Naas win, while Getback In Paris is a dangerous one to dismiss given his Flat form.

LITTLE MISS POET was only denied by a nose in a similar event at Fontwell last month and she should only improve for that first hurdling experience. The daughter of Yeats was a useful bumper horse last season and she has to be given the utmost respect. Rosie Mcqueen was an impressive point-to-point winner back in November and that form was boosted with the second winning twice in that sphere in the following months. She was subsequently purchased for 95,000 pounds and any market support would have to be noted. Pampanini has some decent bumper form and she completes the shortlist for this event.

LITTLE MISS POET showed fairly useful form in bumpers, and found only one too good on return/hurdles bow at Fontwell last month. She's open to improvement moving forward and can go one place better now. Pampanini and expensive point recruit Rosie Mcqueen can give her most to do.

Plenty of these have claims but none more so than BASTIEN, who has won both of his starts over hurdles in very impressive fashion and can take this contest on his way to bigger and better things. Kayf Adventure had been off the track for a long time prior to his third-placed finish behind Neon Wolf and Coole Cody at Exeter last month. The son of Kayf Tara can reverse that form with the latter as he's expected to have improved markedly for the run.

BASTIEN has to concede weight all round, but is clearly going the right way in this sphere, readily defying a penalty at Plumpton last time. He looks sure to do better still as his stamina is drawn out and gets the nod. Anchor Man is fancied to pose the chief threat, whilst Bally Gilbert can also place.

DOITFORTHEVILLAGE bounced back to form with an easy success at Lingfield last Tuesday when relishing the underfoot conditions and a 7lb penalty for that performance should prove to be no issue with the step back up in trip a positive. Minella Fiveo got back to form at Uttoxeter 10 days ago and is worthy of respect making his chase debut, while Royal Classic was clearly well thought of earlier in his career and merits a market check on his return.
