End of An Error let down favourite backers at Hexham but wasn't beaten by a great distance, although she is on a long losing run. Kyle of Lochalsh ran above himself at Perth and isn't guaranteed to repeat that effort, while Book's Way is hard to win with. In an uninspiring heat, a tentative vote is given to PRINCE OF ARAGON who contested a better event last time and tasted success when last dropped to this level.

This appears to be a race in three with RELIX standing out on official ratings. The 5yo found heavy ground against him at Perth but won well in faster conditions at Wetherby previously and a similar performance would suffice here. Last start winner Combat Drinker is another who loves to hear his hooves rattle and rates as the obvious danger but former useful Flat performer Rocket Force holds every chance if on a going day.

It remains to be seen how much improvement Martin Pipe can coax out of Bertiebanoo who was no great shakes for Philip Hobbs and returns from a long absence. A first chasing victory is only a matter of time for Avitta if her fencing debut at Cartmel is anything to go by but, on hurdling ratings, she has something to find with BUSHIDO who had yet to be asked for an effort when hitting the deck at Southwell and, with a clear round, can atone.

15:40 Market Rasen (Class D) (4YO plus)

GREEN PROSPECT looked brimful of promise in two runs over hurdles last summer and, likely to have been given plenty of work at home, should prove too strong for this exposed lot. Beseiged has flattered to deceive on a number of occasions of late and, while still appealing as the most likely threat, cannot be recommended with confidence. Course winner Hopbine found a 5lb rise to much to handle at Aintree but Brave Effect has an outside squeak at his best.

16:10 Market Rasen (Class E) (5YO plus)

Nitrogen Handicap Chase

Today's extra trip should benefit Celtic Legend who has been getting outpaced over 2m4f, in contrast to Lanmire Tower who may have found 3m2f just stretching his stamina at Southwell but is still 7lb higher than his previous C&D victory. HO HO HILL has exchanged hands for 42,000 gns since routing moderate opposition at Hereford. He took a while to get his act together for Paul Nicholls but, now that he has broken through, he can go on with it and make an immediate return on the investment.

16:40 Market Rasen (Class E) (4YO plus)

Oxygen Novices' Hurdle

Resplendent Star outbattled Three Ships to score at Huntingdon but a 6lb pull in the weights should help the runner-up make up the half-length deficit. Both may have to settle for minor honours, however, because BEST FLIGHT was still in with every chance when falling at the last at Wetherby and, if that experience has left no lasting scars, he can make amends. King's Protector is another with obvious claims, while any market support for Ndola would be significant.
