Verdict

Nounou confirmed the promise he showed at Aintree when scoring in tidy fashion on his latest start at Cartmel and he might have more to offer in this sphere. Absolutelythebest threw away a winning chance by jumping/hanging badly to the right last time out at Worcester and will be a lot better suited by going this way around. Barney has won two of his last three but is now 6lb higher and a chance is taken on THEARTE TINKA. He has not been disgraced since winning here in March and there have been signs that the stable are in better form now than of the last few months.

Verdict

This is moderate stuff and although Changing Gear is certainly one of the stable lesser lights he has to be given a chance if he can reproduce the form he showed on his penultimate start. LOVES TRAVELLING was a fair sort on the level in his prime and he displayed signs on his hurdling debut last month that he might have a future at this game. He finished fifth to a subsequent winner in a race a lot better than this and would not need to find much on that form to go close in this. Lunar Sovereign represents the Pipe yard so obviously commands some respect.

Verdict

I'm Your Man has had a terrific few months for his trainer but he seemed to struggle a little last time off an 18lb higher mark than his first win. He is capable of being in the frame here but might need to drop a few pounds before visiting the winner's enclosure again. HIGH COUNTRY was having his first start over hurdles since last November when finishing fourth at Hexham at the start of last month and shaped with definite promise. Very lightly raced at this game he could be ready to double his tally over hurdles this afternoon. The consistent Silver Bow should be in the shake up once again.

Verdict

Siegfrieds Night put a dismal first effort over fences behind him when second last time at Southwell, he would have been third bar a late faller but it was a step in the right direction for this fair hurdler and he is capable of a bold showing. YOULBESOLUCKY earned a rating of 120 over hurdles and did nothing wrong on his first start over fences when runner up last time at Worcester. A reproduction of that should suffice here. Gift Voucher did not show much on his chase debut and it would be a surprise if he troubled the selection.

Verdict

Incorporation looked a different animal when making a winning start for this trainer at Cartmel on his penultimate start and ran a cracker in defeat last time at Uttoxeter, he should be involved again. One place behind him on the latest occasion was Nabir who was having his first run over jumps for a while and he is expected to be sharper now he has got his eye in again. CARINA BAY was a five-time winner in Ireland and is an interesting runner on his first start for Venetia Williams, a close look at the market is best advised for his chances.
