DUNASKIN was well beaten in a Listed race over C&D last month but landed a double in this grade on his previous two runs over timber and could take all the beating here. Tri Nations landed a Uttoxeter seller back in April and has been placed four times since but needs to raise his game to land this heat, while Cortinas drops in class and has claims at this level.
It should pay to concentrate on the 2 at the head of the weights, with Dunaskin marginally preferred to the consistent Tri Nations.

Heron Bay lowers his sights and can be given a chance at this level,, while High Bird Humphrey's best form recently has been over fences but he can't be ruled out back over timber. Preference is for RUSSIAN GEORGE, who won a similar contest at Uttoxeter two starts ago and was an unlucky third last time here when meeting traffic problems. He can take this with a clear run.
Russian George shaped better than the bare result suggests when third over this C&D recently and probably has more scope for improvement over hurdles than Heron Bay and High Bird Humphrey.

It could pay to side with MISSION CONTROL here on his chasing debut. He's won three of his six starts over timber and should take some stopping here if he puts in a clear round. Frankie Anson has been placed on two of his three starts over fences but needs to raise his game while Walamo scored over C&D two starts ago but will find this tougher.
Mission Control was comfortably the best of these over hurdles, and will be extremely hard to beat if jumping proficiently on his chase debut.

If KIRKHAMMERTON can repeat his latest effort - when scoring by a comfortable six lengths over this trip at Bangor - he should be capable of following up. He is 7lb higher in the handicap now but won with enough in hand to earn him the vote. Indiana Gold, also up 7lb for a Newton Abbot win, looks the danger but chances can also be given to Kind Heart and Diaco.
Diaco hasn't pulled up any trees in maiden chases of late following a lengthy absence, but his third last time has been boosted by wins for the first 2 since and he could prove a different proposition now pitched into handicap company. Last-time-out winners Kirkhammerton and Indiana Gold may be the best alternatives.

Although she's up 5lb in the ratings and in class following her close second at Worcester, PRINCESS TAHOE looks the answer to this puzzle. Her latest effort demonstrated she's improved enormously over the winter and she has very little to find to land this. Maska Pony won gamely at Kelso last time but may be anchored by a 10lb hike here while Stratford seller winner Bonzeno Queen will need to raise her game.
Bonzeno Queen and Princess Tahoe both look to have some mileage in them off their current marks and are the 2 to concentrate on. Bonzeno Queen gets the nod having shaped as though requiring a stiffer test such as this at Cartmel last time.

Celticello has been knocking on the door but may need some help from the handicapper, while Darksideofthemoon won over 2m 3f here a year ago but is up 14lb in the handicap and has only run once since. Preference is for Towcester maiden hurdle winner MURCAR, who was a close second over 2m 1f off this mark at Bangor latest. He still looks open to some improvement and should benefit for the return to a longer trip.
One or 2 would become of interest if the market spoke for them, particularly Darksideofthemoon, but it's safest to stick with those in form and course regular Phoenix Eye has been shaping of late as if ready to strike again. He may do enough to repel Murcar and Celticello.
