This looks a fantastic opportunity for COOLE WELL, who is 6lb and upwards ahead of his rivals on official ratings and easily justified favouritism in a Newton Abbot seller last time. Clearance was in the process of running a respectable race when a last-flight faller at Perth and he warrants respect in this lesser event, while a drop in class and first-time cheekpieces may help Falberto bounce back to form.

FONTANA ELLISSI produced a career-best performance when half-a-length second over an extended 2m at Bangor last time (pulled 26 lengths clear of the rest) and providing he can reproduce that level of performance over this longer trip, he will prove tough to beat. Fitzroy, sporting first-time cheekpieces, is the obvious threat on paper but he was well beaten when unseating here latest, so Keeper Chris, a fine third at Cartmel a month ago, may be a valuable bet for forecast purposes.

COSTLY DIAMOND's last four chase appearances have resulted in three wins and a neck second and, entitled to improve for her comeback spin over hurdles at Stratford last month, she could bounce right back to form on her fencing return. Valseur Du Granval was disappointing when bidding to complete the hat-trick over C&D last time but he possibly deserves another chance, while the lightly-weighted Mariners Moon also merits consideration.

NO CRUISE YET has made a pleasing start to fences and could have more to offer in this field. The six-year-old has already recorded a win at Worcester and appears to be on a workable mark. Trumps Benefit is not to be underestimated, now having his second run after a wind operation. Gun Merchant has been slipping down the weights and is likely to be on the premises if building on his recent Perth run.

REBEL LEADER hinted at a return to form when last seen posting a second-placed effort at Uttoxeter. The son of Milan, has only had a handful of starts since joining Dr Richard Newland and could still have more improvement to come. Ballynagran is not to be underestimated and looks to have been given a fair mark for his handicap debut. Rock On Tiger also has claims and should find this an easier assignment, now dropping in class.

HUNTING PERCIVAL displayed a nice attitude when getting his head back in front at Uttoxeter on his most recent outing in June and the step up in trip has the potential to see him progress further. Wynford has been in fine fettle under both codes of late, winning three of his last four starts, and he is likely to continue in this vein of form, while others to consider are Socks Off and The Bees Knees.

PHOENIX DAWN was awarded the race on his latest outing at Newton Abbot, having been bumped in the closing stages, and the extra distance on this occasion is likely to see Dr Richard Newland's gelding eke out further improvement. White Turf is expected to be competitive once again as he has placed on no less than six of his last seven outings, while Grand Enterprise and Sweet Flora are also noted.
