RELATIVE HERO is a capable performer at this level and has his ideal conditions with fast ground bringing out the best in him. He finished tired over further last time and could well benefit from this slight drop in trip whilst his useful conditional jockey takes off a valuable 5lb. Coxwell Cossack is a course specialist but hasn't won for 6 years now. His current mark sees him well handicapped however and he should be a big danger. Power and Demand may reward each-way support.

Westmere wasn't disgraced in a stronger race last time over this trip and he could make SEAFIELD BOGIE work. Tom George's horses are in great shape at the moment though and this one looked a decent recruit when making all on his English debut latest. That was over shorter but he wasn't stopping in front and this winning Irish Pointer should be able to dictate matters and get things his own way. Delightful Cliche has claims if returning to his best.

By far the best of these over hurdles was ALIKAT and David Pipe's representative looks the one to beat on her first start over fences. She loves fast ground and is receiving plenty of weight from inferior rivals. Obviously her ability to handle these fences has to be taken on trust and should there be any problems on that front it may be Oneforbertandhenry who takes advantage. He is totally unexposed and showed promise last time.

Malay would be dangerous to dismiss after her course win earlier this year when returning from a lengthy spell on the sidelines. She is likely to have come on for that effort and conditions don't pose any problems. TREATY FLYER could be the one though as she has proved herself capable in this grade previously and rarely runs a bad race. She pulled too hard last time and if settling better has to be a major player. According To Pete and Sultan Fontenaille also have to be respected.

Smokey Mountain finished close up last time and appreciates ground conditions when on the fast side of good. There is a doubt as to whether he will get an uncontested lead which he enjoys though and may struggle in giving weight to WIGGY SMITH. Oliver Sherwood does well with his summer jumpers and this one has been sweetened up for this with a couple of decent efforts on the Flat. He has the highest rating of these meaning he is well in at the weights and has shown his effectiveness over timber. Little Vantage can follow them home.

If Seaniethesmuggler can return in similar heart to when last seen, when winning a similar C&D contest, he would be a big threat but he has needed a run to put him right in the past and is therefore passed over. Silver Dagger is in great form but may finally be in the handicapper's grip with a 7lb penalty. JOHN FOLEY reappeared last month and turned a similar race into a procession at Wincanton. He is 11lb higher now but he won with distinct ease and looks a progressive chaser on fast ground.

Gold Beach ran well on his debut last year before disappointing on a couple of occasions. This ground is likely to benefit and could bring about an improved show. After running promisingly on his debut though NOBLE RAIDER should improve for the experience. That run came in a stronger contest than this and he finished in front of a couple of previous winners, a subsequent winner has also come from that race showing the strength of the form. Liverpool is an interesting newcomer from an in form yard.
